*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia N97

Congrats on picking up up the phone, I'm still waiting to get it under $600...

Cheapest price is still at shopblt.com for 607.33 w/free shipping.

N-Gage is not in the NAM N97 and is confirmed by many NAM ver. owners, so you didn't delete anything.

What do you think about the D-Pad?

Also please keep us update on how well the N97 works after the internal memory is full...

I'm thinking of creating a thread to post the cheapest way to get the N97. If anybody seen something like this already please point me to it because I can't find it.. There's pricing info on the N97 scattered around, hoping to make a thread solely on where to buy the N97 at the cheapest price w/tax & shipping.

19 gonna pick up from sn traders when they have their 100 at around 550 usd. can't wait

o yea, quick question. if the hard reset deletes all the apps, how can u easily get them back? thx

Mostly these days, the mixture of overpriced concessions, gigantic filled parking lots or structures, and general inconvenience has led me to just stay home and wait for the Blu-ray where, I often get superior performance anyways in front of the 60" HDTV with 7.1 all around me. And the only screaming kid around is mine, who can be dealt with. lol.

Can't wait till I get a room converted to a dedicated theater room with a front projector, though. :D

But yeah cell phones in the movies seems more hit than miss out here... unless you're upscale like the Arclight, Mann etc. I wish most theaters could/would install jammers or something.

And that's just fine for those of us who didn't use the 5800XM. I've been trying to find a replacement for my N95 for a while now. The N85 wasn't it, the E71 is close but I miss the accelerometer, the N97 is it.

To pay top dollar (which to me is ANYTHING over $400 for any unlocked phone) then have a new release with the things you did not like FIXED is a disheartening but NOT Nokia's fault.

I take full responsibility for being an early adopter for any technology. So I live 6 months behind the rest of the world and not only does it pay off with better technology but the technology is a lot less expensive.

When and if Nokia does releases a phone fixing the "issues" we will soon be reading here after the "tecnoglow" wears off, I will start looking for one.

I have never bought a phone on pre order or even new and found that phone "technophobes" take care of their phones far better than I so used is a good bet for me. Im not anal about scratches and smudges, I use the phone without worrying about it as a fashion statement then either give it away or sell it cheap on Ebay. Hell I don't even buy screen protectors..

Either way Im not going to be upset with the price feature ratio.

Just look at the pictures, you don't need to know French at all. The low light shows seem to be really good, I'll say. The bar/champagne glass shot is really good, considering how dark bars usually are, same goes for the outdoor shot of the Zest resto.

Man I can't wait to finally get another slider device.

I guess most of you are sellers . I try to keep my phones as long as possible until they break . if I get the n97 I like to keep it several years at least . I still got working phones from the early 1990s

iphone users ***** enough about their keyboard accuracy. I imagine that n97's would be worse due to the resistive screen. Unfortunately we will never know if this is the reason why it was dropped.

It's funny because it's just esthetics. A couple pages back in this thread (actually it's probably a lot more than a couple now) we discussed how if you look at your computer keyboard, you probably have a worn out spot on the rightmost side of your spacebar, if you're right handed that is.
