You can't change the chips on mobile phones, If you've ever open a phone up and looked inside you'll know how intricate the wirings are.
It's still possible to change internal component but it'll be a whole new motherboard and not a single chip. If some company is smart enough and willing to spend the money to do R&D and develop that motherboard load of chips, a mod N97 will not happen.
There were even posts in the pass of doing a simple change of the Original N95-1 to have the N95-2 screen 2.8" and folks can't even do that.
So why do people even think swapping the internal RAMs and Processors is possible? and more importantly profitable for a company to make the mod?
Also, like somebody posted you will then need to re-configure the phone's setting(OS).
