*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia N97

On my 5800 copy and paste only seems to work in the default email inbox. Open an email and drag your finger over some text and the copy button shows up instantly. Is n97 different?

I really hope Nokia's using this time wisely; tweaking and perfecting it. I really want to get out from under this N78, but I don't like any of the others enough to justify the upgrade. I just hope it's all it's cracked up to be.

True that. The keyboard can sink a mobile almost by itself. But they still seem to have an unbelievable iPhone bias. That friggin' thing doesn't even HAVE a real keyboard!

i got an order confirmation today too.
i'm gonna go ahead and get my hopes up even though i got 3 day shipping.

i'll know to let them go back down if people don't start receiving them soon.

I'm on post 7156 and trying to catch up.

That is page 239 of 254 with my settings. :(

If there was a way to see when I first opened that tab in Firefox, I wouldn't doubt I have had it open since last year when the thread was started. :hehehe:

I will catch up dang it, I will! But work comes first. Have to pay for this phone somehow...all these keyboard comments are making me wonder though... :disappoin

Did no one read what i said a couple pages back? Its not about the processor that you want its about the enemy you know versus the enemy you don't think about it the way the computer geeks do if they put a new processor in it theys have to relearn how to fine tune it which would've taken it from this year to either next or maybe even two years from now! whod want that im sorry take the slower processor and this pretty baby this year.

I could go on all day about the things they should've done with the N97. To keep it simple, they should've put the N86's camera in the N97 instead of the same 5mp shooter from 2007 and completely reworked their camera software. All they've done is built an N95 with a touchscreen, QWERTY and more internal memory. As it's been said, after we've seen what's inside and after all the reviews, it looks like a minor upgrade to the 5800XM.

Slashdot loaded for me but barely. Scrolling the page is hopeless, half of my slide movements don't register, even the dpad presses lag by >5 seconds.

You just saved me $5 a month-

I don't understand what the issue is; if you have AT&T, get the NAM version to utilize their 3G network. If you don't have AT&T, get the NAM version for warranty purposes.

Just get the NAM version...

...but then one may not get FW updates in a timely manner.
