Again, THAT'S FINE. As someone who's STILL interested in potentially buying it, I completely understand it's draw, and I use my phones a hell of a lot harder than most people.
Really?! After all of the evidence that has shown the difference that 3D acceleration makes and even the performance difference we've seen from their 2 year old devices to the ones put out last year, you're STILL going to say that it's not necessary for them to do any better? Are you one of those guys that buys the $300 laptop from Best Buy and ignore how much faster the more expensive computers are?
I'm not just talking about the i8910. The Palm Pre's using OMAP3, the iPhone is going to be upgraded with 256mb of RAM and a faster processor (even though it outperformed almost all S60 devices with the specs it had last year), and all of the WM devices are being bumped up to 256mb of RAM+6-800mhz processor, if they haven't been already. These are also all of the devices that will be available to your average consumer subsidized for significantly less than anything unlocked from Nokia. Regardless of whether or not they -need- the hardware, they -have- it, and from there, there's no reason not to improve the software to -use- it. Nokia's can't move forward like these other devices can because they don't have any devices with the hardware!
Maybe I'm just "old school" in that I'm used to Nokia being the brand that's ahead of the competition and I'm pissed to see them lose that title.
