*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

Well I pay monthly for a Hosted Exchange service. It costs me $9.99/month and I can sync everything over the air. All you do is forward your emails to this new account. I have my two work accounts and my gmail forwarded. Plus you can set it so that your email sends out from Pop3 ID.

Do the E Series have a different email client from the N series? As much as I love my N78, the email client is complete crap. I'd be shocked if it's the same on the E series since they push email as a selling point.

Well looking at this png I found using Google ....

Looks VERY close to the layout of the standard S60 Calendar on E71 that was in BGR's video. Looks promising.

I was thinking the same think. Im sitting here looking at my work KB and it is pretty dingy (it was white), and I am not a smoker or anything that would much up the keyboard. I read once that toilets have less germes than cell phones. Think of that next time you borrow or someone asks to borrow your phone.

There is a certification site to find ANY certified bluetooth device & their profiles they support; but I cannot find it (bluetooth.org / .com).

EDIT: found it.

Ask your admin to see if Outlook Web Access is enabled. Your setup for MAPI so if Outlook Web Access is denied most likely that's why your PC as to remain on and logged in with Outlook running. Or a third party app your running in combo for that. Thats my guess.

What are you talking about BES "send as" ?? Are you specifically refering to blackberry options to send from one email address vs another (MAPI vs POP) ?? Have you had the SQL Server guys look into that? Last I saw Exchange 2007 was working with BES 4.1.4 so 2003 SP2 should work, no?!

Has Liam (E-71) reached FCC Approval yet? I thought only a device similar in description to the E66 was given approval last month.

Hey, I am think of picking up an E71 and changing my iPhone 3G but have a question, Can I view all my folders in exchange email as I have them in exchange and can I move emails to folders. Also I sometimes like to watch videos and was hoping if someone can tell me if the playback is good. Also can I sync exchange with contacts, calendar, notes, tasks?

Nokia better get their a$$es in gear...and do it quickly. With the new iPhone ready to drop within what some predict a couple of weeks, and the BlackBerry 9000 Bold hitting in the next month...lots of non-fanboys are going to snap up the very attractive offerings from the competition, and leave Nokia with (once again) a too-small marketshare.

If Nokia is going to compete...they need to make a move. They've been teasing too long.

I've have two E71s,(-2 and -1) and I've used the Nokia beta email client (which is pretty buggy) and I've never had battery life that poor.

I can usually get 48+ hours and that includes decent usage of email, browsing, bluetooth, gps, text messaging and calls.

You are correct, sir. I retract my previous statement, and in answer to your question... I have no idea. Perhaps it is the rumored AT&T E71 version? I don't see their logo featured prominently on the phone anywhere though. It is probably just a new color to increase sales of the already popular device.
