*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

I still don't get why nokia and other companies are not making phones where the screen goes right to the edge of the phone. So much wasted real estate. Even the n95-4 could fit a 3 inch screen in there. I don't know why cause the phones would look so so much better if they did this.

To be honest, I have no first hand knowledge, but have read its up in NYC with a launch sched later this year. Regardless, the specs of TMobile's 3G network, and given the amount of time it takes to get a phone to market, you would think they would announce they are working on a version to be released later this year.

E70-2? Do you mean E71-2? or?

I am looking to get the E71 graphite regardless of which G flavors it'll be in. I know that I can't see myself using a white cellphone even if it has 45G connectivity.

As far as AT&T, we are going to be with each other for the next 15 months and I just don't want any surprises with the bills. My current iphone does a pretty good job of keeping my AT&T bills on the table. :clapping:

I read this same review and that scared me a bit. The N82 is a great phone but it lacks 3G and a bright screen. But since Ive read that review all the other reviews have said nothing about the screen being too dim. So Im not too worried about it!

Dude where did you find these?! I'm always trying to find this stuff. YES indeed its THIN thats why I'm eyeballing it, more than the Bold, plus I'm not on a BES any longer.

PS: I don't Nokia really had a falling out with RIM (I think its a backdoor agreement of not getting BB Connect for it / possibly because Nokia wants PIN-to-PIN; only E90 supports receiving I think. Also I think its backdoor agreement so the BOLD has time to REALLy sell well for first 2qtrs). However if they DID then there would be some announcement of IntelliSync being upgraded soon for Novell & Domino support ... or at least it SHOULD! This would shake up the whole industry.

I read a review and they actually called the E71's email functions very poor. Kind of suprised me with it being a messaging/email device. I still have mine on order no matter but it worries me a bit.

My first smartphone was actually the n70 and coming from a samsung dumb phone boy was it extremely hard to pick up. There were just so many menus and submenus for me, but after a few weeks I didn't even have to think anymore I just went to where I wanted to go

Just got off the phone with overseas electronics in Chicago, says he expects stock in on Tuesday. However, he says 800 dollars!!! WTF??
