*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

Search for JP's post regarding the best apps for the N95. I'd say almost all of them apply here as well but there are indeed several that are missing.

JP, let's collaborate on an E71 list!!!

I have both the iPhone and e71 and since the 'Wave 3' update I can confirm that you can access both via pop3, on the iPhone just set up as other account.

The settings are as listed here

I didn't know this either that the punctuations are automatic.
Another thing bothering me is when I need to go to the next line after a full stop , I need to press * choose ﻠ sort of sign on the symbol list .Is there a shortcut for doing so?ﻠ

now i love this phone, but it took way too long for me to customize this phone to my liking. coming from using dumbphones to this phone, the learning curve felt relatively steep compared to the iphone. second, having to figure out how to sign all the unsigned apps i wanted was a total pain.

and is there a "programs" folder? i know you can see it in the installed applications, but i want a shortcut on the homescreen.

also, why does magickey not work for the gmail for mobile application?

nokia should have made at least the volume keys customizable so that i dont have to use magickey.

there was a glitch i've encountered in which gmail for mobile constantly prompted me to find a WLAN, when i selected to cancel the action. it wouldn't let me use the phone, as the prompt kept popping up, but finally i was able to end the app and it stopped.

For me nokia freezes too. but it during when i select contact to import their address in nokia field. rest everything is working out fine. only the problem is with importing address from contacts for me.

I have seen the gps of e71 locks much much faster..

Sabesh, that taken from the E71?

jontymisra> If you mean service wise....BB connectivity is flawless with service available all over major metros . Mostly all over India, service is available seamlessly, except for rural areas where only the Govt. operated telco operate.
Most of the metro cities I visit , I never had a problem with BB connectivity.

If you mean Blackberry ( RIM Hardware) visibility, you get to see them only in metros, that too sparsely, with corporate guys.
Reason being they are way too expensive ( Curve 8310 costs USD 625) and other reason being Nokia who has chewed and gulped the market anyways. ( I mean the top end devices)

It's decent. Nothing out of the ordinary.
