*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

Several things to answer this.

1> Not by default. Like MS Exchange's OWA needing to be enabled, so does POP3 access for iNotes by Domino Administrator.

2> If your company was like the last one I worked for, and has RSA Security for iNotes via KeyFob (Hard Token) then iNotes will NOT work, because its only supported via the IEv6/7 (maybe v8 Beta not sure). I tried using my E71-2's browser and the page would not correctly render let along allow me to login.

3> If # 1+2 is enabled above, then you'll need to wait a few more days for Nokia & IBM to launch Lotus Traveler for S60. I posted about this on my humble blog.

I dont know what the issue is, but you would think RIM would want to license BBC and make revenue on non RIM devices. They do it with WM devices.

Case is really nice & it is of high quality material!

I thought us old guys were more mature and reasonable and less impulsive about our devices. :)

I have had my 8820 for 10 months now, and while I did get an E51, after playing with it for about 3 days, I havent used it since. I did finally today, take it out of the box and charged the battery and completely synced M4E. I think I am going to take the E51 on my backpacking trip and leave the BB in my car. If I have to choose which phone to get ruined, I will choice the E51. I'll need my BB when I get back to civilization.

Hope you enjoy the new device...... glad you still check back here as well.

14 Months Hahaha.... :hehehe:

What happens with MFE is that it will first erase all contact, calendar, and email information before it does a fresh sync with the Exchange server. I'm not sure if Web2Mail will let you sync contact and calendar info, but you can turn off those sync functions on MFE and only have email sync and sync contact and calendar with desktop sync. At least that's probably what I think happened to your calendar entries.

Yes, but it runs very slow compared to a native app. I love the functionality of the J2ME app but the time to load and connect is too long and some have it worse than others as far as load time.

So, I found out that long press (in addition to a short press) of the left or right selection keys opens a new application - but cannot find anywhere to set these applications - anyone know how to do so?

I second that notion all the way! I can remember when I at onetime did own the p990 and it was a lackluster experience of endless bugs and unstable firmware. Since trying out the P1i was equally unimpressive, I simply gave up on the Sony Ericsson brand altogether. In recent days I haven't even been that inspired to look any further into the upcoming Xperia.
