*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

Sorry if this has been talked about but I'm new to Nokia and I'm trying to decide between this phone and the htc touch pro. Does this phone support flash to view youtube and other video sites like windows mobile?
 
Looks like a *#7370# hard reset straightened things out. Windows Live was not installed and appears corrupted, but other than that it looks good. Now to do a restore from Nokia PC Suite and hopefully I will have my third-party apps and data back.

All I can think of during this whole process is "Stupid Stupid Stupid!" This is a 100% user-created error and does not reflect on the E71 in any way, except to point out it's limitations in keeping a user from doing something Stupid Stupid Stupid. :o
 
Looks like Apple is preparing for the 3G phone big time. Current iPhone is out of stock both at apple and at&t websites.. rumored to be in prep for the 2.0 release. Now I have forgotten E71 in this 2.0 hype ;) Let's see what 2.0 can offer!
 
I just like that they put the Nseries music player on the thing! Now the right softkey won't close the music player! Camera and video interface change is a nice change too!
 
As far as I am concerned, it takes crap pictures in anything but 100% daylight. Very grainy, it is a tad above useless - purple hue and all. I didn't buy it for the camera and it's not an N-series device, so no big deal.
 
well I never really used the navigation of garmin so I figured id just load up Nokia maps and navigate myself if need be but if I cant get it to run then I will have to try Garmin again. Its been awhile since Ive done that though so I may have forgotten the process.
 
It's strange that you cannot get access to BoA Mobile Banking, because I have just accessed Mobile Banking via wifi on my E90 as well.

This must have come from downloading the recent firmware from NSU.
 
Unfortunately that is all old news. I have emailed back and forth with the Sling person who is in charge of the beta programs and she has also said "we are working on it", but it be nice to have an estimate release for beta.

Sling announced that they were working on software for Symbian and BB at the same time, Jan 07. We all know that S60 version is out. I thought maybe that announcement might come with the announcement of the 9000.
 
That looks cool, but is there something that will do it for free? I don't want to buy anything, and I especially don't want to deal with another app that is sold in Euros, where I have to pay the exchange rate and fees to purchase overseas.
 
I would have to agree.....Nokia will need to add the 3.5mm jack sooner or later to their e-series phones. This differentiation between N and E just ain't working anymore. Even the BB are coming out with phones already equipped with the 3.5mm jacks.
 
I was just wondering if there is support for mobile me on E71 as i am a mac and ex iphone user.. Just interested in Email and if bookmarks works than it would be really great...
