*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia 6650 (RM-324 6650d-1bH) NAM 3G 850/1900

Guys, could I ask a favour? What is the product code of the U.S. 6650? The T-mobile branded Euro version is 0556614 (product code can be located on the white label under the battery), the firmware is v3.09 but I was wondering if the U.S. version is higher?
 
Wait a minute. You keep getting out of memory errors on the browser? Oh crap. Time to take back everything I said. If the built in browser cannot render pages without crashing what were they thinking? Either that browser needs an update or Nokia needs to spend the extra $3 on putting some decent RAM in their phones.

I'm not even going to start again about Nokia. All that needs to be said has been said.
 
Has anyone been able to get Activenotes to work on this phone. I can install it fine but when I try to run it a get a message that says "system error!" but no error number.
 
Anybody get Nokia Maps 2.0 working for this? I'm able to install 1.2 (Nokia_Maps_1.2_0702_3.0.sis) but I get update error when I try to move to 2.0 (Nokia_Maps_2.0_4503_3.2_u.sis). (Sorry if this is a total S60 noob question.)
 
no crap, where? The 6650 or the Z9, I got lost in this conversation.

Found it on their site, though Radio Shack is using Simplexity for their online stuff. I've confirmed they won't be carrying it instore.

Plus, I have the grandfathered MEdiaWorks package, and I didn't see an option at Simplexity to keep my old plan, even on an upgrade. No way in hell *any* phone at *any* price is worth losing my MEdiaWorks package.
 
Not hard at all, though, being a flip phone, I see those as the least useful buttons on there. Since it has an external display, I just flip open to answer, closed to hang up. However, if you have it on speakerphone, or are using a headset, you *can* close the phone and continue the conversation.

2. I will check on the 'hacking' - CONFIRMED WORKING WITH HELLOCARBIDE.
3. No, I got them at the actual corporate store (apparently, sadly, AT&T isn't going to 'fully' support this phone. Won't be carried online or in Telesales, nor at agent locations. I could be wrong, that's just the impression I got. However, I *was* able to fanangle my way into having them make that rebate instant. ;)
4. I'll check on the RAM and will be sure to mention it at S-G tomorrow.
 
Can you guys let me know if this phone has the Theme effects like others FP2 phnes (M78, N96, N85)???
I currently have the N85 and want to give one to my wife and I really like the Haze effects in my n85, so I want the same for my wife.
 
I called number listed in the AT&T forum and got my 6650 unlocked. The process wasn't straightforward though. Customer service gave me a subsidy unlock code for my LG right away but the system wouldn't produce an unlock code for the Nokia. They had to make a special request to tech support. I got an email a few days later with instructions on how to unlock the 6650.

This has been the best customer service experience I've had so far with AT&T. Everything up to this point had been horrible. I didn't lie when I requested the unlock code. I am going overseas and I want to use local SIM cards. They didn't ask me any questions either.
 
I know it's not what you want to hear, but I had the exact same thing happen and it's probably toast. After trying everything I could, talking to AT&T support, Nokia support, and taking it to an AT&T store, nobody could figure anything other than the fact that it was just plain dead (tried a different known good battery from another one, known good charger, etc.). None of those people I talked to had heard of such a problem before with the 6650.
I ended up having to get a warranty replacement for it. :(
The replacement 6650 has worked OK for a few months now, though.
 
Yeah I wrote about this in an earlier post... my 2.5mm headset that came with my 6267 only played in mono too... I had to use another 2.5mm headset that came with my Moto v360, that one played in stereo... it seems that there are two types of 2.5mm headsets out there...
 


Actually, I bought one from that seller and it seems it doesn't have anything from T-Mobile.

The only strange thing is that in Download! there are a lot of things that I dont know, Im ataching a picture of this. Somethings that are called BAT, or BAT service or DATA Block appear there, and I havent downloaded any of them because its strange :P.

Another thing is that when I remove the battery of the phone its says "Nokia Proto" and the IMEI and product code, but I dont know if the word Proto appears in all Nokia Phones or is it mine a Prototype????

Im having memory issues as I think I have very low ram available and I dont know how to clean or see what processes are open, all the apps that I have installed are in the Memory Card.

I dont know if you can help me but I have 2 things that anoys me:
1.-I cant change the keypad color, I can see the preview of the colors but when I select any color (red for example) it stays in White, the same thing happen to notification, I only can select "rotate all colors" and it works fine, but if I select red, or blue o any other option it stays in white all the time.

2.-During a call, the volume controls works randomly, if I press volume up or down it automatically mutes thes earpiece and I cant change or increase it again. Sometimes I have to lower or increase volume BEFORE I answer the call I dont know why is this happening.

I hope anybody can help me with this!
