Well I'll be darn. My receiver got the update V108 last night, now lets see if they fixed everything. :)

I had to call 3 times, finally spoke to level 2 tech supoort, they sent the update, seems to be working fine, got all my channels back, hasn't locked, and it's been over 12 hours. Call display now works, interactive TV does something, but I'm not subscribed so I don't know if it is working properly. It still won't tell my vcr to record, even though it's the right code (works on the remote just not from the receiver).
I hope this firmware will be more stable, the guide download seems a little quirky, but it may not have updated since I didn't turn the unit off, I'll double check my update time.

I too am still at V104. Don't know if this version is for selected 3200s and if not how can I force my receiver to V109. I leave my receiver off overnight but it never upgrades.

the Dish 322 has its share of issues also. The 3200 will be updated after the 5200 and 9200 are. I don't think there are many out there so priority is very low on this model.

The issues that I'm having are posted several times in this thread by myself and others. V103 hasn't fixed any of my major complaints. I've missed V104 and V105 and now they're gone... I'm sure there is a good reason they were pulled from the stream, so I'm most likely better off with V103 for now!

I'm also using a Dish Pro Quad with a 3200 and two 3100's. I have previously use a dp44 setup with the same issues, ie: 3200 locking up on one channel which have to be reset by holding the power button for 10 sec. It doesn't seem to make a difference. The 3200 is nothing but problems. I am now on my 3'rd 3200(under warranty) from Bev which was sent out recently to correct lost audio on ch 524 on both tuners.

to ldmrp,
what is their procedure to set up the box to take updates

I thought it was to turn off TV1 and TV2 using remote, then wait
I do have guide updates set to download also, but I'm not aware of a screen to allow firmware updates specifically

Just picked up a 3220 package from a Bell store in Ottawa.
Paid $69 plus tax, about to set this puppy up.

Hope it works as well as I'm expecting.

Very little details are out about this unit.

Questions;

1. Will I be charged as 1 receiver or 2?

2. Can we actually watch 2 different channels at once?

Thanks.

A.

I had the 3200 installed over the Xmas break and now I'm trying to lock out certain channels so that my kids don't get trigger happy with movie subscriptions. I tried the process shown on channel 198 but it doesn't seem to do anything. I get into the lock channel menu screen, choose the channels I want to lock, click done, then go back into the main menu screen and the channels are still showing up as if nothing happened. Am I missing a step?

Well, I finished setting up me 2 new 3200 receivers today, called Bell and had them activated and I must say these are very nice units!
All of the problems everyone else is having do not happen with my units, I just purchased these from Radio Shack (thesourcecc.com), and they call them 3320 systems. They are the new cardless units, the caller ID works, haven't had a chance to test itv yet, they said it will take about 24 hours to download any itv info. Now we can watch TV in 4 different rooms on different channels!
I would definitely give these units an A+ :p

Well the current goal is to get the 9200 and 4100 firmware to a gold state and get those products to market. The updated firmware will be released after that.

Is anyone experiencing no sound at times with their 3200?, BEV said I should turn off my receiver at night to resolve this.I have v107.

Well here we go again, still sound issues. Bell say they have a new V107 to replace the older V107...They would send me another 3200 receiver (5th in 8 mos) but I dont think that will solve the problems. They said they would send 1- 3100 and give a $50.00 credit towards a second one, I said NO WAY!!!

I mentioned that I didnt think 3100's were current, they said they are still being made, thats crap!!! I have demanded a solution in 24 hrs and left a voive mail message on some persons phone that works 8-5 only.If not resolved I want to terminate the contract. Lets see what happens. Any suggestions?

To those of you who have updated, do you have N1 or both N1 and N2

What kind of switches are you using if you are multisat or multireceiver?

I'm asking as I have a SW44/SW44A setup, but tried disconnecting Tuner2. I reran "check switch" which indicated just one set of attachments

However when I tried to update with this, I got a "switch or signal" error screen coming up after 10 or 15 minutes - when I try to update with both tuners attached, it just crashes

To AndreGT6
At least with previous versions, you know it is downloading and installing the update, as you get either 1 or 2 different progress bars coming up, and a warning to not "mess" with the 3200
When things are going well, this is usually within 5 min of turning off receiver

If your still at V104 then you need to update. The only firmware versions streaming are V108 and V109. Only some models are receiving V109. The rest should be at V108.

Has anybody experienced the 3200 receiver locking up when setting a timer those conflicts with another timer?

I bought these receivers about a month ago (software version is V104GEHD-N) and this seems like it just started happening.

For example, if I try to set a timer on ch500 for 8:00pm and there happens to be a timer already set on ch600 at 8:00pm, the Timer Conflict Screen pops up, but before I can do anything, the system locks up and goes nuts. At that point, it will not turn off and all functions lock up. The TV screen alternates between a solid black picture (no logo) and static "rice". After unplugging it for at least 20 or 30 minutes and disconnecting all the cables, it usually comes back. However, when it does come back, several channels go missing so I need to go through the

The fact that they still have known issues does not mean they will not fix them, it just means that they aware of the problem and will work on it. They just put out the new software to be able to fix some of the bugs.

The only problem I've had with mine is the caller ID does not work. The other day the phone rang and up pops on the top of the screen a telephone symbol and a message of "private caller" This was the first time it's ever displayed anything and the last time too. The call was not a private caller.. the number showed up on my phone. This 3200 really has a mind of it's own. As for the TV part it seems to be ok... and I'm glad with that. I can live without caller id on the TV screen for now.

Has anyone thought of sewing Bell over this? Isn't there some kind of lemon legislation??? I know with cars there is...
