Hey I'm kinda new to the forum thing, mostly because i've never had difficulties with my BEV hardware before, up until now. Here's my situation:
I recently moved from an apartment that had attached to it a single double LNBF dish. I had two RG6 wires coming into the 3200 receiver it worked flawlessly.
At my new house i'm using a different dish but still the same type of LNBF with two RG6 wires leading to the 3200 receiver. The receiver has now decided not to recognize a signal by simply plugging both wires into the receiver.
It only recognizes a signal if, (this really blows me away), on one cable i add a cheap 1GHz 2-way splitter and have a 2 foot piece attached to input one or two doesn't matter, and the second wire attached to the open input.
The signal is great for both Inputs, however, only the odd transponders work for the split wire, but they all work for the other inout that hasn't been split. I have no wires coming off of the second open split. If i split one wire and use both outputs and attach to both inputs it still won't work.
Does anyone have any suggestions, i'm tapped out, it seems too bizarre for me. In fact if i attach one of the single wires directly to a 3100 without a split it won't recognize a signal, but split it once and the signal will work.
