Did the audio problem occur before or after V107 was loaded? I understand that V107 is buggy and your receiver needs to be reset back to V104. I would call BEV and ask them to reload your receiver to the previous firmware to see if this fixes your problem. I can't see how that would be a problem to do.

That's my next choice. Unfortunatly that one ended on the 7th and there are no others. :(

I have two 3200's, both of which took the early (first) v104 firmware update
Unfortunately, I did not write down exact software versions

Anyway, both of my receviers now have the same situation:

v104 GEHD-N
Bootstrap: 1414GEHD
Smart Card: DNASP103Rev3C0

Is this the new or the old v104?
How will I know which I have?
Given that these IRD's can be slow to take updates, why didnt they call the new version v105
Is there a new and old v104 for sure, or did they just pull it from the stream for a time?

I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem. In the last few days both of my 3200's keep freezing and reseting. Last night both of them got the downloading important info screen which took at least 5 minutes to go away. Both are on seperate dishes, so it can't be a dish issue. The guide seems slow now and lots of "no info available".
Does anyone know if this is a general Bell thing or is something going on with the 3200's?

I've noticed this too.

Its slow responding to the remote commands and last night it would not power on.

My new 3200 receiver keeps locking on the last channel I was watching and I have to reboot it several times a day. What is going on? Is this at all related to supposedly needing to have it connected to a phone line at all times? or do I need to get a new 3200?

To force an update on the 3200, I find that if you slect "point dish" and the signal is displayed, then turn the receiver off, it then starts the update process within about 10 seconds. Leave the TV on so you can watch it's progress. This doesn't mean that it will take the update, but at least you can try to force it.

It works for me....

There are major software updates coming out shortly for both the 3200 and 5200 models which should make them much more functional than the current software.

V107 is the problem. Wont download.

Set was locked this AM.

I may give it a few more days before I call Bell and have a new reciever set out.

I agree, the tech's are very helpful and can only do so much. They all seem to have a solution to do the download so must be the hardware that is the problem. I await my new 3200 as well so will let you know the verdict.

Ok I had 2 on Saturday, the first one was just before the end of the NHL game... grrr and then the 2nd one was an hour later.

Its happening on both sets.

Time to call Bell.

Hey Jeff, I'm at v104 right now.

But I'm going to try White Water's method.

Anything to avoid calling Bell :)

I have my set up installed really nicely. So getting in there to pull the wires is a pain.

You should contact Bell, my UHF remote did the same thing, they replaced it and all is well now. I can be 50' away going through 4 walls and a floor and it works great. I have 2- 3200 systems and both work great in UHF.
Call Bell, they will take care of it.;)

Update on v103.... It appears that my unit still needs to be rebooted after it locks up, however instead of every two days or so, it's now every three days or so... Well it's an improvement! I see that the software engineers are making some progress. LOL :D

If you already had V104 then it will not redownload it. The first version of it was supposed to be testing because it did not have the range of all the serial numbers. If you are having a lot of problems with that one then you will have to wait for the next version or get your unit replaced.

I bought the 3200 understanding that it needed one cable, as per Bell's advice. I registered it online, they show it as active, but I only get 2 subscribed channels - the expressvu promotions. Back and forth to c/s they informed me that it needs 2 cables. I ran another cable, they helped me reboot, and still only 2 channels. They told me it could take up to 24 hours for all of the channels to come in. An hour later I'm still running only 2. I have a 3100 that worked instantly - why won't this, my second receiver, bring in the channels? The signal strength is 73% (prof. install of dish) and transponder keeps resetting to 01, though the tech people keep telling me to reset to 11. Either way, no channels. Help! I've had it! Thanks - this forum is my only hope now!

I called this morn and asked right away for a senior tech and I got one after less than 5 mins the guy wiped all programing and told me to do the normal reset then shut down for 2 hrs when I started it up I had the update V107, But no channels, and as I am just about to throw it out the window, the phone rings and senior tech says did it take the upgrade I said yes but and he said I know you have no channels I am going to program them now, and he did . The info screen is different, same as my 4100 everything works for how long ????????? this might be the fix the guy said he was sure it was.
