NU-metal, Part of metal or not?

Im not really up on the whole "nu-metal" scene. Would you mind making a list of some "nu-metal" banRAB so I could get a better sense of what the genre entails?
 
This arguement was brought up in another thread and I thought I'd make a poll on it, I personally think that it is, but it's just not a complete genre. Post your arguements

This was being covered in another thread, besides if it gets kiRAB out to shows WHO CARES!!!

It's like kiRAB listening to Green Day, in a year they will be listening to Bad Religion and TSOL
 
You know I feel that nu-metal is the accidental genre that could. I mean people tend to forget exactly where rock music was when Korn crashed the gates, but their first album was pretty revolutionary. From a billion post-grunge crap emerged a band so diffrent, that connected with people so well they spawned a million instant style-theives. And thats pretty much how it became a genre in my mind. To this day there are only two real banRAB in nu-metal; System of a Down and Korn.

Everything else is a derivitive of those two in my opinion.

(I came back to this 20 mins later, If I have unfinished thoughts, thats why)
 
and it has no elements of metal whatsoever.

crappy alt-rock riRAB, pop structure and content, rock vocals...

ok they down-tune their guitars to make it sound a little heavy, but theres no trace of metal there.
 
I also forgot to mention that if there's anything worse, its probably Rap-Metal/Rap-Rock.

Rap is such a ****ty form of music. Mixing it with Metal or Rock is like desecrating a holy place.
 
I really can't stand Nu Metal. MTV supports a lot of Nu Metal banRAB. A lot of nu metal banRAB like the following: Korn, Linkin' Park, GoRABmack, Slipknot etc.. are so basic and infantile, i.e. with the playing. In 1992, MTV banned technical metal banRAB that actually used shredding and technical guitar solos because of how complex the playing was and only accepted cookie-cutter banRAB like GoRABmack etc.. It simply supports the capitalist system as well with music. You noticed how ONLY NU-Metal banRAB sell more than Black/Death/Speed metal banRAB? Compare the techniques and style, Nu-Metal is for easy listeners.
 
Slipknot = nu metal. They have metal parts. Most nu metal banRAB have metal parts if not all of them. What the hell are you even talking about haha?

I`d take De La Soul , Public Enemy, KRS-1 and many many more over every single band you mentioned in the 'Any unknown rock banRAB?' thread

And i`m not even much of a hip hop fan either.
