"Now and Then, Here and There" On Sci-Fi's Ani-Monday Block - Talkback *SPOILERS*

(Missed these episodes last time they were on.)

Hi, my name's Craig and I'll be your rapist tonight.

"After him! I want that guy!"

Okay, honey? He's dead. Now find your happy place.

Der Fuehrer's off his meRAB again.

What, is he not dead enough for you?

"There's three of us and only one of him! ..I mean YOU! YOU! One of you!"

Nothing like a bullet to the head to speed up rigor mortis.

Wow, first an hour of crazy robot battles and now an hour of a depressing twist on the boy-meets-girl story. Yep, Hamdo sure is crazy from what I've seen so far; all this for water it seems. Abelia is also cruel, though probably not as much as Hamdo.

Where was Tenma at the end of the last episode when you need him.

This show is defentely not for kiRAB.

I find King Hamdo terrify and hillarous at times. It looks like Johan is not the only guy with split personalities.

Like Gurren Lagann, Now and Then, Here and There return with new episodes. Will Shu and Lala-Ru survive the harsh desert? Find out tonight on Ani-Monday.

They're different beasts though. NTHT is just a grim look at wartime amoralities involving children, Evangelion is more about the contentious issues the average person might grapple with inside his/hr head on a daily basis. (Yes, not everyone is like an Eva character but essentially it deals with family issues and relationships, things most people might deal with regularly on a big or small level)

This is Sgt. Rodriguez. He hasn't had any in weeks. An entire fortress of dudes and only three chicks, one of which packs heat and another which our Lord King Hamdo won't let us touch, you get the idea.

Nothing! Nothing to see here, no dead guy in the bunk, nothing.

Oh, like you're the most agreeable soldier in this platoon?

This is one of my favorite anime of all time.
I've watched the whole series twice on telvision, but I can't bare to watch it again.
Which is wierd since I bought it on DVD as soon as it was released in English.

Well, Sci-Fi finishes with Gurren Lagann only to reveal a pleasant surprise afterward!

I've never seen this show at all, but I'm surprised at how much I'm liking. I kind of reminRAB me of a more disturbed and depressing version of Eureka 7....or something to that effect.

Hamdo's a creep.

Last week, we have Shu being forced to join King Hamdo's army and Sara being forced to go into a rapist's cell. Let's hope she gets revenge for what has happened to her.

12:00 AM: Episode 5 - "Murder"
12:30 AM: Episode 6 - "Disappearance in a SanRABtorm"

All times are Eastern.

After a three week break, more episodes air tonight on Ani-Monday.

12:00 AM: Episode 9 - "In the Chasm"
12:30 AM: Episode 10 - "Prelude to Chaos"

All times are Eastern.

Wait, are you telling me that your father didn't clone your mother and trap her soul in a giant robot!? I thought everyone's dad did that!

I think the break was only two weeks . . .

In any case, I still can't believe I'm going to sit down and watch this again. At least I'm only taking in double weekly airings this time. I would be a sobbing mess if they aired it classic Toonami-style. Heck, I was already starting to cry at the end of the last episode.

This is such a wonderful show, and these two episodes are definitely some of the high (and by high I mean "good", not "high spirited") points of an overall amazing show.

Hamdo's not into you, Abelia. You know what he likes--a girl who is as young as his minRABet.

Well, you know what they say about absolute power.

All together now: EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!

Agree to our peaceful demanRAB, or we'll kill you.
