Nokia N95 or iPhone

They're for 2 complete different uses. The main questions to ask are:

Can I live without...
3rd party apps?
GPS?
5MP camera?

And most importantly...

Do I want to leave T-Mobile for AT&T?

As for similar capabilities... no. The N95 has many more features and all the basics every other phone has.

Althought the iPhone is new and cool. I would get the N95 as it is probably more reliable. Also the user interface is awesome and has a grip of features.

I want to get a new phone and don't know which of the two is better. I've been told that both have similar capabilities, except that the iPhone has a touch screen display. Your input is appreciated.

Alot of WM6 ROM's have already been released, and leaked. My P3300's ROM isnt officially out, but XDA developers already got a hold of the release from HTC. I'm using WM6 and my TomTom6 works flawlessly fine.

Highline maybe you can help me with this. I currently have a palmTreo with windows mobile and I like how my upcoming appointments and tasks are displayed on the main screen.

Does the n95 (or symbian OS) also do this?

How about a battery life comparison.

Talk time
iPhone: 8 hours
N95: 4 hours

Standby
iPhone: 10.5 hours
N95: 9 hours

Music playback
iPhone: 24 hours
N95: 4 hours

Don't know where you got those figures from but I don't think the Standby figures are anywhere near correct. Did you mean Days instead of Hours?

And the N95 uses as much juice playing music as it does talking? lol.

It is QWERTY, there is nothing "so-called" about it.

I would rather have the on screen keyboard (which I was able to adapt to in about ten minutes in the store) than the numeric keypad.

I still have to look at small keyboards/keypads when I am typing. Apparently, I don't have the Matt Murdock-like abilities of most cell phone users...

I would think the iphone would be better overall for messaging and typing emails, but i have gotten pretty good at predictive text, once you are familiar with letting the device form the word for u, you are good to go, also if u hit the pund key it changes the word also.

Here's my breakdown for typing texts on mobile devices:

Full QWERTY keyboard (via bluetooth) > Full Qwerty keypad > half qwerty (like the pearl) >= iPhone touch screen keyboard >> T9/iTap >>> typing on a touch screen w/ stylus.

The touch screen on the iPhone does take some getting use to, but once I got the hang of it I can type away at it like a pro. I do find it much easier to type w/ 2 thumbs in the landscape orientation than the portrait, but for now at least it is only available in the Safari browser.

Even in the portrait keyboard orientation though I find it much easier, faster and less error free typing on that than a numeric keypad with t9, especially if I have to work with punctuation.

Hope this works, but here is alink of the n95 video capablities, pretty damn good for a phone, as a matter of fact very usable for lots of things.

http://www.thecreativelifeblog.com/ ok well it didnt give a direct link, but on that blog u can veiw videos taken by the n95. Please give me an honest opinion of what u guys think.
