Nokia N95 or iPhone

Are you talking strictly music, because i didnt buy an ipod when i bought the n95, i bought a full multi media device, if you just wanna compare the music side then yes you win, but that aside compare everything else and i think you might lose. I have another point the n95 takes about 1hr if that to fully charge, where it seems the ipod takes hrs and i get more than 4hrs of music easy, i listen in the morning 3hrs straight, and talk for about 3hrs straight and still have battery life left. If you want reviews on battery life ill get you some.here are a few

If you need more let me know ok. The other thing is the n95 didnt say 2 weeks before it was released that it had new astoundiing battery life #'s

But when you think about it that way, do people crossshop the Lotus Elise and the Cadillac Escalade? I would think that the more tech savvy and past smartphone users would look at the N95 and those that want a pretty (in some ways at least) relatively simple to use device will go for the iPhone. But don't forget that the price of the N95 is without a plan lockdown so that tips the scales towards it. Plus in other places like the UK you could end up getting it for very little with a monthly plan.

I think we can conclude this thread by simply agreeing that N95 is more feature-rich, tweakable, can be bought unlocked, has a better camera, video recorder etc while Iphone has a cool UI, non-removable battery, beautiful screen, no keyboard/stylus, no MMS but visual voicemail.

Both have pro's and con's. Weight it our according to your personal preference and buy whatever you like 'more'.

Not really, when you think about it. For one thing you have to still buy an 8GB memory card for the N95. Not cheap. Second, you have to have SOME plan for the N95 and it's probably going to cost more than $20 per month for unlimited data. So in reality the N95 ends up costing a LOT more than an iPhone. As long as you can live with the AT&T lock-in.

I recently got rid of my n95 and purchased an iPhone. I can tell you without a doubt that until the planned iPhone updates are completed, the n95 is by far a better device. Period.

COWBOY ARE U MISSING THE REVIEWS OF THE IPHONE BATTERY, its not much better it gets better music playback but less, talk time from what people have tested, the difference is u can bring a spare along with the n95, with the iphone you are stuck

You have to look at it, penny wise or dollar foolish. Yes the n95 over all will cost more for the initial purpose, but its so much more of a device.
1- not locked into a contract
2- unlocked phone
3- no media plan required, or not an unlimited at least
4- no restocking fee, not from the nokia flagship stores
5-any 3.5mm headset works, no special adapters needed
6-corporate or fan discounts not void if you buy n95, but you will lose your company discount if u buy the iphone.
7-No waiting and hoping for updates or the next model to have basic cell phone features.
8-No need for a cancellation fee if you are with another gsm provider
9-Many Many more features for the price to justify the added expense, which is only like 50-150 more depending on what iphone you get.
10- Memory cards purchased are not limited too the n95, the micro sd cards are standard amongst most cellphones, and u can get adaptors to fit in the mini sd or the standard sd card. Yes i know not all phones have the capability to handle the 4gb, but defenitly in the near future they will make them more compatible.
11- The memory on the iphone is just that, limited to the iphone.

So i definetly say you get more bang foryour money with the n95, the question is which device do you want, and that determines your purchase.

With Iphone you are stuck on 2-year contract. I think most people would want to change phone before that and if you want to have a new phone bfore 2 years is up, you have to pay full price for your next phone (which can set you back $300). On the other hand, you may pay about $150 more now for unlocked N95+4Gb memory card but you can buy your next phone on contract (saving you hundreds) as and when the next kick-*** phone arrives.

You'd rather carry, swap, and recharge extra batteries every few hours for 1 or 2 years (N95) rather than do a one-time repair (iPhone)?
