Nokia N8 Pre-Ordre starts today USA

I'd like to see the initial stats for pre orders at this price. Willing to bet they will be awful at best. I agree with a former post that you have to be a fool to commit those kind of bucks so far in advance with no incentive. I wanted to think Nokia would do the "right thing" after the N97 debacle but they have a lot of balls trying to pre sell this thing at this price point. Who know..WC Fields was correct I guess.
 
quite a few. it's for those that are on the fence. unlike us where we know pretty much what we want, the last straw is just whether or not we should get it
 
Nokia did say the N8 will be exclusive to the Nokia website for a week before releasing it to retailers...anybody preorder from Shopblt yet or waiting for a price war on Amazon?
 
anybody order from ShopBLT yet or just waiting for price error on Nokiausa? I think I'll purchase it end of this week at shopBLT for that price and the reviews for the retailer is pretty good ...I can always cancel the order if NokiaUSA goes down in price or Amazon has it
 
Whatever happened to Best Buy selling unlocked Nokias? How hard would it be to have a Best Buy store showing a working display model and take pre orders?
 
Question: Is there any retail locations in Chicago that will have these at the release date? I'm going to be there from October 1-4 for a family vacation, and am not sure that by preordering somewhere (or ordering once they go live) I will get the phone in time, so stopping into a store to get one would be a great option (and save shipping costs). Thanks.


think the official N8 thread, somebody called the store and the employee saying it will close by the time the N8 goes on sale
