Have anyone got the same problem in using Facebook's link in the Internet menu?

It has a nice interface which looks like the Facebook app on iPhone however there is a serious issue in viewing photo album.

The photo album view first shows the thumbnails of pictures in the album.
Click on any picture will view that picture. 2 arrow buttons at the bottom to go to previou and next picture.
At the top of the screen there is a LEFT ARROW and album name.
I believe the LEFT ARROW is supposed to be a button that allow you to go back to the thumnails menu (which works in iPhone), but clicking on it has no response. So everytime I go into a picture, I can't go back to the thumnails menu.
Anyone know how to do it?

It's happening because Nokia forgot to include the FOTA server profile on NAM phones, and because their customer service is too clueless to know that it is THEIR server you need to log into (NOT your carrier's).

These are supposed to be the correct FOTA settings, but they have never found an update for me (it does seem to login, but always say no updates).

If you are on v21.2.025 then you have the latest firmware available for NAM (North American Model) phones. However, the rest of the world is 2 or 3 firmware revisions ahead of the US, and you can update to the v31.2.008 firmware by altering your product code. I posted a message over on another forum with instructions on how to do it [Click Here].

heading to chicago in a few and of course hit up the nokia store. if its in stock, 5800 NAM indeed. looking forward to expand the device hobby once again since i've been another touchscreen device fanboy since its debut :p

it's one of the best i've ever used. it's just the rotation program sucks lol. rotateme is a lot better. when you tilt to one side, it has to be almost perfectly vertical (or rather parallel to your body) for it to register it. it never took longer than a second to do it for me. only when it freezes, then it doesn't do it lol

I would have to strongly recommend that people do NOT install the 40.2.005 firmware for 0574994. There appears to be something seriously wrong with this firmware.

I had 40.2.005 installed from product code 0591814 installed. I decided to use NSU to install 40.2.005 for 0574994. It bricked my phone. When the phone would normally restart and go into "local mode", it just keeps on rebooting and cannot start up and NSU always goes into Device Recovery mode. This results in a non-working phone that vibrates when pressing the power button but otherwise does not turn on.

I found a thread at Daily Mobile http://forum.dailymobile.se/index.php/topic,1792.0.html that showed me exactly what to do in this type of situation.

I loaded JAF to reinstall the 40.2.005 for 0574994 that I downloaded from Navfirm using the dead phone USB method. The exact same thing happened numerous times and the phone gets stuck on Pooling mode and JAF can't see the phone after that to complete the firmware installation.

After that, I went back into Navfirm and downlaoded the 0591814 firmware. Using JAF in the exact same fashion as before, 40.2.005 for 0591814 installed on the very first try. This would appears to confirm my suspiscions about a large problem that is specific to the 0574994 files.

I would recommened that people not to install 40.2.005 for 0574994 as I fear it will completely brick your phone.

I can see why thetruth likes the N85 better. Simplicity sometimes is the best solution.

Like others said, I am gonna give it a few days to really test it.
-WIFI is rock solid
-Phone dimensions are perfect
-Lock switch is perfect

From getting it today until now (11pm), much better improvement of using the device. Opera Mini doesn't make any difference. Luckily I can sync all my Safari bookmarks. Basically the web experience has been a nightmare. All that screen and can't take advantage of it :disappoin

The device is definitely a love/hate device. I love it one sec and hate it the next :2thumbs:

Let me ask, do I have to resize all my videos again (iSquint) for this screen or can I just use my "ipod ready" vids?

That is the 1MB test. When the page is first loaded and you hit run speed test, it automatically runs the 100kb test where the numbers are always low. I retested with the 1MB then took the screen shot. Are you using v.40 or v.50 cfw?.

Update:

Exploring my 8 gig card that came with the phone I have found the following music and video files (samples I assume);

Music

狼爱上羊 dj

10 梦里水乡

01 超大铃声

Video

《卧虎藏龙》

04美女开啤酒

I'm screwed aren't I....
