Nokia 5800 XM NAM(850/1900): Reviews, Issues, Tips, Tricks & Support Thread!!

I hate it personally. Unless you are a pro at it, you will make countless typing mistakes with QWERTY. I just use T9. I've found it to be the most efficient input method on the 5800.

Don't download it from the site. Instead have the site send your phone the sms link and download it from there. I think thats how i got the right version.

Amazon is also out of stock at the moment (I think), so maybe the supply is just running low...I feel that ever since the phone hit the $300 price-point, it's been hit or miss in terms of picking one up.

I think Dell may still have it for $259 though (not including tax).

As was mentioned, press the green talk/send hardkey. Next to the white Menu button. This will also cause you to send an empty message also, so be careful :2thumbs:

OK that's good to hear that you got it working. Here's my problem. I get to this point:
http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=147951
and I'm setting up my profile in the phone.
On the first screen I see, I only have the following fields:
Email address
Domain
Username
Password
Access point

Google wants me to put in the exchange server and to leave the domain blank. MfE is forcing me to put in a domain and there is no field for server. What do you put in for domain? Anything I try, it comes with an error saying I need to setup the server manually, but then I can't find where to enter it manually. Maybe I'm just being a noob and missing something obvious? I did this fine on E51 so I don't know.

i wish the 5800 had the widget home screen like the n97...does anyone know if this will be available? the screen is way to big on the 5800 to not fill it up on the home screen.

I believe that's f-stop and focal length (in mm). If they increased the focal length the sensor has to be even smaller to keep the same field of view. The 5800 has a teensy camera, which is apparently why it doesn't do well in low light.
