New Macross (Macross Frontier) - Talkback

How can you even tell that from one episode? We know nothing about the characters. In fact, they're all pretty big parallels to the original Macross crew right now.

As I said: LOOK AT MACROSS 7. ANd I really don't think we've seen the last of these characters. We have a Macross frontier movie coming out (wheather it picks up after the series or is a movie verion of the series I don't know).

Officially backing the statement of chillout. While it's legit to bring up when a show might being a little exploitative, one should be polite about it, and conversely contesting that point should be equally reasoned and polite.

Oh right oh right. Sorry, sorry. I totally forgot that entire scene. -.- Sorry about that. When I saw screenshots, I thought maybe she was just autographing it, but when I saw the actual episode, that's what I thought to. My bad! D:

And it's lingerie. Haha.

Yea I found this plotline pretty interesting... I guess not every Zentraedi was a Minmay fan

Although from the way it was talked about by Klan, it sounRAB like they are a part of the UN Spacey, but a very disgruntled/corabative faction. I guess they represent the Zentraedi in the original Macross who were growing disgruntled with the human lifestyle and wanted to go back to a more aggresive/warrior life.

I'd say I don't get why they're allowing Sheryl to even go there, but the episode clearly shows she and Altoh are being thrown to the wolves on purpsoe.

No, I'm talking about the scene were they're on the trolley (well the dialog starts over a scene at a hotdog stand) Sheryl mentions her assistant's cybernetic implants, Alto ask is she has any cybernetic implants or had any plastic surgery done to her, Sheryl suggestively response that she is all natural and that's how she sells herself, and Alto blushes in response.

I bet there's an entire black market that specializes in hammocks for perverts.

Well the main thing about M7 is that I don't think there ever was a real love triangle in M7. Basara never showed any signs of any specific romantic interest in Mylene, or ANYONE tbh. The only part of the triangle which actually showed and stated their feelings was Gamlin for Mylene. Mylene never seemed to have any romantic interest in Gamlin and she kinda teetered around with Basara and never really said anything.

I guess we were being kind of hard on Beat. I still think it is a little naive to disregard a series as junk based only on the first 2 episodes and one character. Beat I hope you can cut MF some slack so you can continue adding your thoughts on this series.

Thanks for the help.

On topic, how can you judge the series based on the first ep? and could you explain to me how this is not related to macross? The main city is an updated Macross 7 for pet's sake and have you heard the ending theme? yet alone the fact that THIS IS MACROSS, and there are noRAB all over the place to the old series as well if you look hard enough and know your macross history.

Put your hanRAB up and get away from my mecha!

I agree with Beat that their isn't room for a Loli in a Mecha series like this but, what you gonna do...

Hardly. I basically only buy 00 HGs and SRAB. That's it. I have about 5 MGs and I've never even touched a PG.

Seriously, I do have other interests...

O.K. did everyone who needed a crowning moment of awesomeness get one in? Yes, good.

The finale was by the nurabers; and those nurabers were awesome. Overall I thought this was a good series.

The love triangle wasn't resolved. Also Alto's relationship with his Father wasn't resolved but they hinted at future reconciliation.

We found out the Bird-Human from Macross Zero was a Protoculture attempt to copy the Vajra form.

And that Zentradi SMS head was looking at a picture of Minmei; he could now have in his possession a bunch of raw data that was transmitted from Grace (not that she would know about it) when she gained all that knowledge from the queen about the layout of the galaxy. So we already have a potential setup for the next series.

Ah. Thank you for that.

Ah, there's probably just a very big vending machine. How do you explain that to the neigrabroadors though?

"They were out of matresses."

Anyway, we're going to be looking at less space battles because of computer effect costs? I hope that's not the total case.

Ah, well I don't think she's saying she's going commando or anything. I think she means that her breasts are all natural, and not implants. That's how I understood it anyway.
