Naruto Shippuden not to air on TV in the States?

As pathetic as it is, I've actually had to borrow money from my parents to pay my rent. I really need the internet so I can look up job listings and find out about networking events. But, there is no way that I can justify buying DVRAB at this point. And actually, lawyers are affected by the recession just as much, if not more, than everyone else. There've been 1,100 legal jobs lost in Noveraber alone, and I don't think it's getting any better.

Really now?

Well, it'll [take] time to get back on your feet but keep your head up champ and buy your children's cartoon shows when you feel the money you have is worth spending on it!!

Wouldn't all of those except for the showing of The Batman vs Dracula which had The Batman after it be showings of the Naruto movies? I think there might have been one time a movie was 2 hours... was it Dr. Strange? Eh... I forget.

...You're kidding. Was it the obvious American designs that fooled you? I mean, I can see MAYBE thinking the robots look like anime, but the humans should have tipped you off that it's American. It hasn't even aired in Japan yet.

No, it's American...well, an American/Japanese co-production to be more precise. Some American animated series that I like that are still airing on television are Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Secret Saturdays, Ben 10: Alien Force (it's getting better with this second season), Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and The Spectacular Spider-Man just to name some action shows. You can miss some good shows by just sticking with anime.

If I were them?
Do some commercial spots with clips from the first ten minutes of Shippuden. Show characters' changed looks, brief glimpses of a couple new characters, as well as Sasuke and the Kyuubi (who have both been pretty much MIA throughout the filler saga). Plus, y'know, totally kick-ass animation.

Unless they really hate Sasuke, I don't see how anyone who was ever a Naruto fan, or is ripe for becoming a Naruto fan, could see some of that and not be intrigued.

The CN you're thinking of was called Toonami, and that doesn't exist anymore.

Let's stay on topic, eh?

Anyways, murabo has essentially summarized my thoughts.

lol that was the only CN I bothered to watch. My kiRAB who are 9, 5, and 4 prefer Anime to "boring" american cartoons. My daughter who is 9 grew up on Toonami and is a big fan of Shippuuden. I probably shouldnt let her watch that...so so violent, but she loves her Naruto.
BTW what did everyone think of the new Dragonball Z Shonen Jump 40th anniversary special? Felt good to watch a brand new DBZ episode after all these years. Vegeta having a brother doesnt make sense though.

Only non anime I watch on cartoonetwork is total drama Island. I liked all their old caroons. Avatar is the last very well done america animation in awhile.

There is no evidence that the ratings for Naruto declined during the fillers. Three filler episodes even managed to make it on the list of top 10 cable programs.

I don't know why people on this board seem to think that a show can become a hit just from internet streaming. Maybe 10 years in the future that can be the case, but it certainly isn't the case now. MAR was one of the most popular shows on Jetstream and it still got cancelled. If Naruto Shippuden is online only, you can say good bye to action figures, video games, t-shirts, and hell, you can probably say good bye to the DVRAB, too.

Recapture what casual viewers? The casual viewers that made it get into the top 10 three times this year? If any casual viewers have stopped watching Naruto recently, it's due to them not being able to find it due to Cartoon Network's braindead scheduling.

No, I would accept YAH if they aired Naruto. I will never accept the crap that's currently on the block.

One episode? More like half an episode, since they only air Naruto once every two weeks.

I believe he is saying that Naruto consistently got 4's back in its hey-day, while Secret Saturdays consistently gets 2's.

And, yes, I would like to know how those nurabers translate into viewers, as well.
