N80ie(Bronze), N91 8GB(Black), N73(Silver) Comparison Pics!!

yes i just replied on the other thread, no pt to double reply~

I am not saying that every phone that is made by nokia is terrible, but I am not going to take my chances anymore.

Yes totally agree .. it is your personal choice which we respect as long as we all agree that not all made by nokias are terrible There will be lemons here & there, it doesn't matter where the phone is made.

The only reason I would prefer a Finland phone coz it doesn't have those chinese lines/strokes. Those lines make the keypad busy.

Actually phones from singapore/malayasia or even taiwan dont have the strokes. It's just the hk versions that have the strokes. Strokes have nothing to do with where the phone is made, althou there are no hk versions that are made in finland afaik.

You are right that singapore/malasia versions do not have these strokes. But it is hard to find out if it is a hk/singapore/malasia version. We can be sure these stokes are not there in finland version. You know that usually do not reveal this info

haha, ya I know, I know...I am just concerned about my reception inside buildings

If what you say is true, I may join the "no-850" club soon enough. One of these days, I may just take the plunge and get an N91 or an N93. I'll probably have to do some real life tests to see if it is suitable for my tastes -

you can tell by the languages available on the phone, if those south asian languages are available, for sure it is a malyasia/singapore version. If only traditional/simple chinese is avaliable, its a HK version for sure.

Asian Model did.....J/K....
I had the "B" and paid $700 for it the day it was available to me. If I'm willing to shell out the $ for that antique I wonder what I'm going to justify as "acceptable" when the N95 comes available.

LOL...i've seen you mention that before and it always confuses me
I've had both phones and while the N80's camera is respectable in the relm of cellphones it's not even on the same planet when it comes to quality when comparing it to the n73. I agree that the N73 has some lag issues but the N80 forces you to keep still after the shot for a few seconds as well. Coming from an N73 to an N80ie I was reluctant to use the N80s camera as I felt there was a severe degradation in picture quality. I'll take the slight lag anyday.....(of course I hope the N95 doesnt have it)....but it's never coming out anyway.

BTW Rapolu....in case you havent figured it out I killed greentooth so I will be handling all of his business from now on.

From what i've experienced, 850 makes a difference. Why anyone would pay a premium for a phone that doesn't utilize the full capacity of the network when you're paying for it is beyond me.

But anyways, that N80ie is really nice. So other than the colour, what other major differences are there from the original N80?

voip is additional in N80ie. I am able to configure viatalk on this & using it without any call clarity issues. I also heard that wifi HW module is *improved* in ie.
Yahoo go is built in ie. Battery life is also improved.

Regarding 850.. atleast I didn't notice any difference. I travel coast to coast to big cities & never had any issues. May be it matters for others based on where they live & all that 850 towers etc.,

Would have kept it forever but my daughter "blew it up" a couple of years ago. She's got a pretty good arm and proved it that morning. Needless to say I wasnt very happy but what are you going to do? I loved that phone and would still use it today if It survived.

NC must still run on the 1900 a bit more than other areas. 2 years ago I could get acceptable coverage with a 1900 only but now it's impossible. I used to use my 8890 all the time and now it's officially a paper weight!

....nice pics BTW.....that N80ie looks awfully familiar to me
....and I dont think you changed any of the active standby apps either.
