N80 OWNERS, do you still like it?

I asked a similar question before but nobody answered. Since so many people have upgraded their firmware, has the newer firmware improved the battery life?

Thats the one thing that I am unsure of right now. It's a big decision for me to select the correct colour. When looking at pictures on various websites I seem to be more attracted to the silver.

Now if I was buying a car I would surely go with a black one. Black N80 to me looked a little to plain yet alluring. On the other hand I feel that the true beauty of the N80 is shown with the silver.

However 90% of the phone market is filled with silver phones. They are very common. Black would certainly be more unique. So in conclusion although I would prefer black I still think that when it comes to the N80 the silver would look far superior.

I think I might need to get stoned to make the final call.

So far people on this thread have been discussing other issues but not this one..

forgot to mention. i got those pioneer noise cancelling earbuds and the volume issue is gone. now i can't even listen to it at 100% for too much time.

the silver on the phone doesn't look like every other silver phone out there

it has a nice metallic almost chrome look..and the black keypad only goes well with the silver...kind of best of both worlds

while the black when i had it...was very plain looking..kind of felt and looked like cheap plastic

yes. and there are the disclaimers about updating firmware "bricking" your phone. If you read that entire thread (which I don't encourage, cause most of it is stupid) you'll see that out of several dozen, only ONE person bricked their phone, and it was determined it was because he jacked with it before the flashing was done. If you follow the directions given, you'll have no problems. After the flash, i personally would do a hard reset, just to set everything straight, then use your phone for a few days and tell me you're not impressed.

6620 was best multi tasking phone around. Solid phone, but for those who think the 6682 is too small, you would think its large coming from a 6620, and I never had problems with the 6620 keypad, and I'm not a small man (6ft 220lbs) and I could text my *** off on that phone.

Not sure if you got a lemon but I disagree on just about everything. Every feature works well. The camera takes excellent pics - sharp not blurry. Video recording is quite good (except the low light issue); video playback is smooth as silk. Wifi works as it should and both the included browser and Opera Mini (that I installed) have worked flawlessly after hours of surfing (updated firmware of course) - not a single crash or memory error.

I have not regretted my purchase for a second. The more I use it, the more I like it.

Just got back from Hong Kong with my new N80.

I choose the silver colour as I did find it more business like.

All the big cell phone stores also only had black N80s, as the silver N80s were all sold out.

I guess silver is more popular in HK.

;7327716']i still think the black is very sexy
i have yet to see the silver in person to compare it with, but from pics i dont like it... to each his own =) at least its an awesome phone

im surprised the b lack doesnt attract finger prints like a mofo which is always good... haha

I still have mine, but I picked up an E61 (in Dubai - it has Arabic keypad which for me is not ideal but not an issue). The E61 is a different kind of phone meant for a different kind of user and therefore it is not fair to compare the two devices. However, I have found the E61 to be rock solid stable while the N80 is not. The battery life of the N80 (for me) is marginally acceptable. The battery life of the E61 is amazing (but then it has a 1500 mAh battery whereas the N80 has a 780 mAh battery). No camera on the E61 - it is for business. I will keep my N80 and use it again when I get the firmware upgraded (or give it to my daughter).

After getting some of my long awaited rebates back and noticing the ugliness and blurriness of the pictures that came from this little $650 beast, I've been looking at other things. I hate to say it, but with the lack of programs and poor video quality, the only thing that makes the N80 different from any other non-smartphone is the Wifi, and that only appears to be a detail now too. I'm looking at things like the N90 (despite size and lack of vibrate), SE W810, Samsung D600, or even going back to my N70. 2MP is enough for me, as long as they're clear and the video is nice like my N70 was. The D600 has VGA video!!!
