My iPhone is sold... Nexus One on its way....

Wait... I thought you were arguing FOR the iPhone....

By the way, there are PLENTY of Android apps which the iPhone will never have (Google Voice, Flash), and others that work better on the Android then they do on an iPhone, by adding widgets so that you don't need to even launch the apps to get important info (weather apps, mySpace, Facebooks, e-mail)

It isn't just a one way street... both phones have some apps the other won't/doesn't have, and some apps which work better on one phone then the other.

However, check out how fast the Android market is expanding! Check out how many developers are frustrated with apple's walled garden, and are bailing on Apple, or simply adding the Android market as new territory.

Where was the iPhone one year after launch??? (Still no cut/paste, no video recording, etc. etc)

Besides... Android phones have Porn.

Period. END OF STORY. :clapping:

PRON!

Basically iphone will NEVER get apps that "duplicate current functionality"

Which is why I say andriod has more potential for "innovative" apps...

I wanna try this phone too.. But, what's holding me back is [as mentioned by Ranova] the storage limitation, and no Outlook sync!

I wonder if OWA is possible..

To the OP, goodluck!! I hope it works for you.. :buddies:

*EDIT* No AT&T 3G.. Oh *Snap* !! :p ... I'll pass!! :disappoin

I still see nothing that would make me want to switch to the Nexus One. It's certainly no "iPhone Killer".

Overheating and charging problems? Really? Is that the best you could make up on the spot?

and now that im stuck on ATT for the time being, I need a decent android phone (read: no motorola junk) that supports ATT's 3G band

I hope htc makes a nexus one that supports the ATT band

OK guys. After about 6 hours with the phone... I LOVE it.

Keyboard is good. I make some mistakes, but it really isn't a case of a bad keyboard, but more a case of getting unused to iPhone's keyboard and used to Android's.

Screen is gorgeous and animated wallpapers are fun.

Voice input... PHENOMENAL. Really! No Joke. I went in expecting this feature to suck. I have only needed to correct it twice in about 50 attempts (and no miss fires using the "Navigate to" command).

Google Voice integration is wonderful.

Battery life is kinda weak, but I am think it is one of those (break in the battery during a few cycles to get better life) kinda things.

Actually, no, this isn't correct.

the Droid comes with 256MB of space for apps. Most apps are 30-100k, the largest apps are perhaps 3mb-4mb, but those are few and far between. Nexus One, I believe, comes with twice as much internal space for apps... you'll have a hard time filling it!

Also, larger apps such as games can store data on the SD card, so graphics, sounds, etc. can all be stores on your SD card, and the main app will simply access it. Navigation programs can store the actual maps on the SD card, for example, and the app needed to access those maps is all that's needed to be stored on the internal memory of the device.

Yeah right, I made it develop a hairline crack by the vibrate switch. It also doesn't seat the simcard holder properly and easily shows a "No Sim Card" message when any pressure is applied. I'm holding out until my 90 day warranty is close to the end so I can get another 90 days. First it was dust under the display with my original iPhone 3G, screen was replaced.. then it just started to crack around the headphone jack and directly above the dock port causing me to have this one, which gets better reception (another flaw on the previous one I had). I'm not impressed at all with how cheap they decided to make the iPhone 3G/S.

This is so true :buddies:

Nexus One will be interesting for such a short amount of time before the new iphone steals the spotlight again ;)

:buddies: That's what makes technology so great. It is always being outdated because of new competition :buddies:

I sold my iPhone 3gs and switched to the Droid and have no desire to go back to the iPhone. I am more than confident you will be satisfied with the Nexus one as it is better than the Droid. It is nice having freedom to modify the phone, have background processes and whatever else you wanna do without jailbreaking.

What about reception problems? battery life problems?

Hardware kills iphone.. plain and simple..

Iphone has more polished OS... but its very simples.. so I wouldnt expect anything less...

Andriod is almost as polished but with multitasking/background apps running i would expect a tad more lag depending on how many things you have going at once
