Were going for sure! We missed POTO were so bummed. We go to the ballet every year.

 that would be funny!

speaking of musicals (hehe) did you guys ever hear about that thing about Shrek becoming a musical?

:)

Yup, Wicked is a hot ticket. I think London sold out weeks ago for Idina's run so, yeah.

So as of now Sweeney Todd is the only musical (that we know of) to be turned into film in the next few years. Dreamgirls is already made.

What about a POTC musical? Captain Jack takes over Broadway. :D Sondheim who?

I agree. Mamma Mia! looks fun.

I've never seen a "live" musical. :( It's awesome you have seen your favorites.

I agree about an AIDA movie. I'd love that.

Meh.
I can only hold tolerance for the group dance sequences.
When the movie first came on, I was doing my own commentary...and yeah, I wanted to rant about how cheesy and lame it was (that's how I keep myself awake if I MUST watch something...I don't fall asleep). Only prob was ,my sister kept on telling me to stop talking.

I don't know why I have such high tolerance to watch really bad Disney movies. Make no mistake...this was typical Disney tween stuff. I've, unfortunately, been known to watch bad Disney made-for-tv movies from start to finish. Why do I do it...maybe because of my sister. Or maybe because I have nothing better to do.

I think what irritated everyone was that chose Audrey and then hired someone else to do the siinging. If they had let Audrey do her own singing, I don't think the public would have made such a fuss about it.

I saw the Lion King and Avenue Q.. Both were awesome shows!

Wicked's the one I really want to see that I haven't yet.

My favorite one to be in was Cats. It's a strange show with no plot, but it's a blast to do.

:lmao: and I love the cheese. But I agree Grease will always be the best then Grease 2.

I heard about the Julie thing. I can't really say that Audrey was a bad choice cause I didn't see enough of her performance to judge.

My fav musicals r: Grease, Moulin Rouge, The Sound of Music, RENT(my fav fav), and Little Shop of Horrors.

That rumor is always floating around about Wicked---but I think it's a long ways off until it actually happens...the broadway musical is way too popular right now. It took Rent 10 years to make it to the big screen.

Whoa, a musicals thread? Cool!!

I most recently saw Wicked, but I'm a huge Hairspray fan, both of the stage show and the movie.

I'll see Mama Mia - it looks like it could be good, or at least interesting!! :P

i want to see Wicked so badly. i might be able to see it this september. Because the touring version is coming to my city. I tried looking up the cast..but got told that they're changing the touring version's cast right before my city's date..so i have no idea who i will get lol
