:lmao: please don't say it or it will come true.

Renee as Cosette is too old.
and Queen Latifah...I can't imagine her giving birth to Keira Knightly, Lindsay Lohan, Hilary Duff, Christina Aguilara, or Renee Zellwegger

never saw Hairspray

I've been wanting to see Rent for a while, but I haven't gotten around to it. I heard the songs are amazing. I've been told by all my friends that I need to see Chicago too, but I haven't gotten to it yet either. I'm so behind on musicals. :(

Are you talking about the one with Brandy? I hate that one! It's one of the worst things I've ever seen!

I doubt Paris Hilton would get the role, thank goodness. I have yet to see anything of hers.

Cosette would probably go to the likes of Keira Knightly, or Lindsay Lohan/Hilary Duff...Christina Aguilara? She's got the voice chops to go with it...
Or maybe Renee Zellwegger...

Orlando Bloom as Marius. Most definitely...or Ashton Kutcher or someone else who's in the boy craze title these days. Jean Valjean will be someone middle aged and famous. Mel Gibson? George Clooney? Lol. "On My Own" will be sung by Britney Spears with a baby in hand.

And I guess Fantine will be played by Queen Latifah. It's a given...she's the diva of the movie musical nowadays, the Michael Crawford, if you will...

Sorry for the disturbing picture.

Yeah, I shouldn't even be supposing these sorts of things.

I just went to the imdb website and am looking up the upcoming Hairspray.
Amanda Bynes is Penny? Huh? How? And Billy Crystal was originally signed up to play against John Travolta as the small, but important role of Wilbur Turnblad. Unfortunately, he had other committments so Christopher Walken is currently signed up for the role instead.

Hairspray, IMDB
The guy who played the main character on "High School Musical" is being cast as Link. Not a fan of the guy...he makes weird facial expressions.

And Brittney Snow (Amber Von Tussle)? Does she even sing?

Gotta give props on Travolta-hopefully he's a riot in a dress. And for once, two original Grease (or Grease 2) fames are taking stage together. Michelle Pfeiffer is signed up for Velma. She's pretty good...I can't wait to hear her vocal chops (again). She's only sung in, what...two movies she's done, right? (Grease 2 and The Fabulous Baker Boys)

I'm so jealous! I totally want an Audrey poster, but I can't find one. :( I do have a Frank Sinatra poster though. :)

I love musicals!!!! I've seen Wicked twice, Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia, Jesus Christ Superstar, and I'm seeing Jersey Boys at the end of this month.

I was in musicals for JCS and Godspell and it was so fun! It was a big part of my high school life.

Avenue Q and Spamalot are coming to the performing arts center in my city and I am SO excited!! I have always wanted to see Avenue Q.

wow. i never thought it'd be true: someone who hasn't seen Shrek.
 I'm just kidding. we all have those things that everyone except you have seen .

I Love wicked!! I Am happy you like it too... I am in a play of Enchanted. I am Nancy!!!

The songs definitely require the high notes....I could have danced all night especially.

My Fair Lady is one of my favorites and I absolutely adore Audrey (one wall in my room is dedicated to posters of her!)

Grease 2 was uber-cheesy, I'll grant you that, but I liked it.

I don't know, there's just something about a girl singing about how she wants a "Coooool Rider, a cool-cool-cool rider." And how he can "burn her through and through."

And how about a whole classroom erupting in "Reproduction." Paulette, with her, "Mr. Stuart? Is it true that guys like you, you know, mature and all, carry some protection with them for sexual occasions?" :lmao:

You're never gonna hear me say that this was high-quality cinema, but man it's like the quintessential guilty pleasure.

"Let's do it for our country, our country wants us to." :lmao:

I completely agree. Last thing I want is Paris Hilton getting the role of Cosette or Orlando Bloom as Marius.

it's amazing the movies tweens will sit through

Omg I just watched the newer version of Roger's and Hammerstein's "Cinerella" last night, and it was absoultely terrible. They changed it waay to much, it was just so bad. It makes me so mad

I gotta say I'm a sucker for the cheese too.

I'm looking forward to the new Hairspray although I'm not sure about some of the casting.
