One way it works out is to have one person picked to kind of organize the thing (sort of like the weekly trading post), and if one of the participants wants to share an album they PM that person with a link. Then that person simply gives out a new link once a week, and people have a certain amount of time to share their thoughts. The order would just be in the order the links are submitted.
It's one of the albums that I found myself liking after 3 years of purchasing (so only last year), when I grew fond of The Beatles and the likes. I'm pretty glad I gave them another chance last year, as I discovered their next two albums were also as solid.
It will be up on Sunday. Why? Do you think we should make the time for submitting shorter? I think we gave it something like five days in total this week.
My school/school-folk could not organise something like that if there life depended on it. Besides the point that I think only 5 or 6 of the students actually listen to music that doesn't grace the charts or have 50 Cents name on it.
On first listen, I actually thought the crowd in some of the songs was pretty cool. The first song (which I STILL think was epic ), was great because it started off with him singing softly and then building up and exploding into a big chorus of voices.
I have to admit too though, that I'm feeling like a massive noob here. It seems everyone is already familiar with this group and singer except me when I'm reading all this.
So the album for this week was picked. Weirdly enough, it was my suggested album, so we're a bit afraid it all seems a bit rigged. So as of now, we won't pick albums, we'll just re-suggest albums from past rounRAB.
