Music Club

It's no fault of the creator's but it is kind of dissapointing that this is the second album in a row I already have. What is a first though, is that a good album was picked. This isn't as good as The mollusk, but I still love it. Ween are just so entertaining to listen to.

All right, all right- the album is by Bikini Kill.

"Bikini Kill was an American punk band formed in Olympia, Washington in October of 1990. The group is widely considered to be the pioneer of the riot grrrl movement, and was well known and notorious for its radical feminist lyrics and fiery performances. Their music was characteristically abrasive and hardcore punk-influenced." -Wiki

The album is Reject All American.

Enjoy, and tell us what you think.

Not necessarily participants?
Obviously, we don't need a list.
And obviously there will be a suggestion.
But maybe everyone will give their ideas at the beginning, and I'll edit it into the first post.
When we finish, I'll cross it off.
That way, the list is on my post, at the beginning, and we can decide from there.
The only thing is, how do we decide what gets on the list?

Still didn't listen to the C&C album completely, but I'm listening to it right now, and I couldn't wait any longer to post my reply.
I think I understand now Sidewinder's reaction when I said I never heard of them. I'm quite surprised myself actually. The album started to click with me after the first 4 tracks. I, at first, felt it was pleasant to hear, but not more. After Roses are Free, I felt there was a great potential in the album, it was the track that got me interested more in the band. Now listening to the songs that followed, Baby Bitch, Mister would you please ..., Drifter in the Dark, Voodoo Lady, ... I could only notice how good this band is. It feels so genuinely from the 90s, but still has this 60s light-heartedness. I dug all the genres they attempted to insert in their songs, from funk, 60s psych to some light harmonies and pop. I very much feel that's one of the albums I'll be giving a lot of repeated listens.

Great suggestion +81 :thurab:.
... and only 24.5 hours left for the next album draw.

Listening to this now... I'm also not too familiar with avant-garde jazz but Conan/ Sonace you are very talented! Curious, did you do all of the instruments/ sounRAB yourself? They're awesome. I love the variety of sounRAB and they are all fantastically placed and played.

My favourites would be Seventeen Years, Something for X (love the bass in these two) and Hasi mtu anakuwa chanya.

Great work Conan, I was really impressed! Love the experimentalism of it. Keep it up and please continue to show us your music! :)

Wow nice, good stuff. Following along to that, as I listened again, definitely made the album even cooler than it was before. Really feels almost like a soundtrack to a movie now, with its mysterious parts and then sad ending. Nice to be able to see the scenes all happening in my head. :hphones:

This pretty much seems like the music trading post, except instead of sharing it with one person you're sharing it with the group, and it's meant to be more about discussion than reviews.

And that's awesome.

Yeah, they would. Me, Awwsugar, and Nurabernine talked about it over AIM for at least an hour. We went over the scenerio's of several different options and this way is definitely the least complicated and the fairest. If anybody wants to take their suggestion further, I would advise them to PM or AIM myself, Nuraberninedream, or Awwsugar. Thank you. =)

Besides, this is generally how the Trading Post is run and that thread is great, in fact I've see Story and Fasho in it at least a few times as I remeraber, this system really isn't bad... in fact I think it's fun.
