MuchMoreRetro & MuchLOUD to be Removed in Sept.

They could put in the order befor the billing cycle, but it would only get done on the first day of the billing cycle

For example if you call on the 15th of August to cancel a theme and your billing cycle is 23 to 22... The agent will put in an order to have the theme removed on the 23rd. The previous bill which you would have received around the first week of the month was covering for 23rd of August till 23nd of August till 22nd of September. On the following bill, which you will receive the first week of September you will see a credit for that theme for the period of the 23nd of Agust till 22nd of September

If request full diconnection, as you know there is a 30 days policy. If you call on the 5th service is disconnected on the 5th of next month. During that month you will receive a bill, like you should normally have for the comming month. Why do we send a bill if we know you will disconnect? Our billing system is ade like that because you could always change your mind and decide to keep the service... With the client that have a billing cycle from the 23rd till 22nd this is how it will happen. Call August 5th. Disconnection 5th of September. Receives a bill at the beggening of September for the programming from the 23rd of August till the 22nd of September. On the 5th account gets credited for the programming charges from the 5th of September till 23rd of September. Around the 20th client recives a final bill showing a credit. 3-6 later receives a check for the amount of the credit showing on the account, or the amount shows on the One bill has a credit and that lower the monthly bill for his other Bell services

Besides, all this is not at all related to the topic of that thread...

There is still no info in our Agent system related to the removal of those channels... Onthe other hand in many account I started seeing CMT add on-W network add on

It was posted in our information system today...

They will be removed on September 5th...

The post mentions that Military channel was added to that theme and that Bite will come in September to replace the lost channels.

Remember that those are now CTVgm channels. They could actually drop ESPN Classic, Discovery HD, Animal Planet, or Discovery Civilization, but I guess they choose the lowest rated two, i.e. lowest sub numbers.

No wonder I am so clued-out about this channel... it's not showing up on any of my receivers. I am a subscriber to variety 3 and I currently get the military channel... should I not also have Bite?

I also hard reset my receivers... and it still didn't show. Next I used the online sychronize option... still didn't show. What am I doing wrong? Is this one of those special channels like TSN-HD or RSN-HD that the CSR has to manually authorize? AEV, are there others who are having difficulty seeing this channel? It's not in my IPG at all (not even in red).

hc666 there was a message on you last bill advising you that the channel willbe removed.

I could undestand your frustration since it was a channel you watched, but it's not like we did it whithout warning!

With MuchMoreRetro and MuchLoud gone the theme they were in was of no interest to me. I started checking and there were a few other themes that I didn't really need so I've gone from 11 themes to 6 now.

I guess with MuchMoreRetro gone I now save $15 a month. I just get my 80s fix via audio now.

No warning on either my July or August ONE BILL.....just checked both.

Lucky I found out on this site about it!.....:o

Mr Grinch I personnaly do not suscribe to Variety 3...

As long as you have Variety 3 you should get. Try a reset throught the Bell site, or call an agent to reset

For all new subscribers the $1 US nets will be part of their package with the option to opt out. Existing customer pricing and packages will remain status quo - from what I understand. There are some subscribes such as me who pay the $1 for second feed of US nets for the alternative football feeds/sports that comes with the time shift....

KSPSlice, I hope that if enough people wake up and re-evaluate what they are giving to Bell in terms of money that Bell will feel a revenue pinch in this division...

unlikely, but I hope so.

Off topic: I just found another issue with Bell today where they 'reactivated' my Sympatico account without my permission and have told me I need to call in twice to get credited.. I've emailed their exec.... sigh..

mac dude, I agree. People need to focus on which channels they watch often as compared to channels that they watch the odd time. I find television to be very expensive. Especially when compared to the Internet which offers much better value and price in my opinion.

I dont kwon why Bev do that, Much More Retro and Much Loud is still up and running on pirated platforme like FTA. Its true tell at People have a FTA. I think Bev block legit tier and still the channels for wide open tier, its strange because Bev need space for Future HD channel comming like TVA TQS RDS HD

I'm sure they will eventually get around to pulling the plug on the uplink... but for now enjoy the FTA feed.

Wrong... All new clients will be on the new Digital Standard at 32$ (that includes the second feed) with no other options, this is the new base for all new clients
