MuchMoreRetro & MuchLOUD to be Removed in Sept.

Agent, I can confirm that the removal of these two channels was indicated on the latest Bell ExpressVu bill I received * unfortunately :( *

I'm pretty sure the reason they are being dropped is because they won't be broadcast anymore. It's hardly Bell's fault. I'm looking for a link, but I'm pretty sure I read it is because of the recent change of ownership of the parent company of those channels.

The funny thing is that agents didn't get anything in our information system...

I also have Bell Express Vu at home and nothing about that on my bill

My latest bill only has the following:

"The week of September 1, 2007, CMT and W Network will be included in your basic package. For questions about your continuing service, please visit ********/tv or call 1-888-SKY-DISH. Watch for new channels coming soon!"

My bill has a July 6 billing date. I will have to see my August billing date for messages.

There won't be no late charges if unpaid because as soon as you cancel the upfont programming that should have paid gets credited and therefore makes your balance at 0$

The West Coast feed could be added for only 1$/month

It was your choice to remove them, so why to use the word lost in that sentence?

As you could have read on this forum, not all of us got that message printed on their bill...

Because it is written on your bill makes it official? I don't think so...

I'm just curious...how many of you got the printed message and how many didn't? Also what is you billing cycle? What format of billing are you getting? Old Express Vu (yellow) or One Bill (White and Blue)? Do yo suscribe to the channels? I'm just thinking that maybe depending on the format of bill client might have or not received the message...

I personnaly receive a One bill
My billing cycle is 23 to 22
I haven't receive the message concerning the removal of those channels

EV billed me in advance for packages I had already dropped. When I didn't pay for them, the slapped me with a late payment fee for not for paying services I never received. The arrogance of this company is just too much. Never mind that their technical screwups have caused the loss of hundreds of hours of premium TV in the last year, including PPV and TMN shows. I haven't received the compensation they promised for that either. What a bunch of crooks.

Here is my very detailed and thorough response as to why from Bell...

"I would like to thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback regarding the removal of MuchMoreRetro, being the decision of
the channel owners."

1) CTVgm is shutting down MMR and ML

OR

2) CTVgm agreed to have BEV removed these two low viewership channels to come into compliance with the 5:1 rule.

#2 is the likely answer.

When you call to remove a thee it only gets remove ON THE FIRST DA OF YOUR NEXT BILLING CYCLE...

If you call let's say the 13th and your biling cycle is from the 10th to the 9th... You bill, which will cover from the
10th of September till the 9th of October...since it is printed BEFORE we remove the theme (on the 10thof September) the bill will show the charges for the hole programming, including the theme you asked to be removed. Once it is actually removed, theamount of the dropped theme is then credited.

If you got interest and late charge that means you decided NOT PAY THE HOLE BILL, not just the part you were disputing!

Hello Bell Express Vu people I just want to mention that here in Winnipeg the only service provider to offer Much Loud and Much More Retro is MTS TV, *C and what do you know Bell. The other service provider is Shaw and since day one they have not offered them at all along with a few other CHUM channels such as Sex TV, Drive in Classics, TV Land and Punch Much just to name a few so CTVgm might be shutting them down or rebranding them. I'll hope for the rebrand since Punch Much is a waste of bandwidth anyways but Muchmoreretro and Much Loud are good channels in my opinion.

Cheers.

Go to the Much More retro web site and you won't see Bell Express Vu in TV providers...Same thing on Much Loud web site.

Maybe Bell don't renew the contract with these 2 channels.

Well, I've just checked http://www.muchmoreretro.com/ this morning and cannot find Expressvu 1-888 number under the "subscribe now" section. It looks like this is not a joke, it's going to happen very soon.

Would have to agree with previous poster that we have far too many music channels.......with the implementation of other means of receiving or listening to your favourite type of music.....dedicated channels are now redundant. I can appreciate the needs of the few who actually watch the music channels but it is again a niche market gone awry(sic).

Reason of that comment is that last year lots of clients got the message on their bill that CMT was going to be part of the Digital Standard...and it didn't happen!

There was an issue with the number of CTVgm channels BEV would have after the acquisition, but the CRTC gave them longer than this to sort it out. Maybe Teacher's wants them in compliance?
Something is up. *c drops Punch now BEV drops Retro and Loud...
