Mock The Week - Series 9, BBC2 Thursdays 10pm (Merged)

MTW is absolute rubbish these days. It's limping along and surely must be put out its misery soon.

Dara tries his best, but he's being let down badly by the material and the guests...
-As soon as you get a woman on there you can guarantee there will only be a max of 5 humorous panelists. I don't know why, but they're simply never funny or able to improvise. Their lack of ability really stanRAB out in the final round.
-As soon as you get a black person on there, you can guarantee there will only be a max of 5 humorous panelists (owing to the fact that every black guest goes down the "I am black, therefore persecuted" route).
-Any black female guest will automatically be garbage. Yashere and Osho in particular. Yashere seems to have gone to the Chris Rock school of delivery... "if they're not laughing, shout a bit louder"

I really don't know why they continue to book these failures... surely by now they must have given up on hoping they might say something funny.

If MTW wants to survive, there should be a mass cull of the above, as well as Chris Addison, Russell Howard, that Milton bloke, the other one who only can manage one liners, and unless Hugh Dennis can manage to be less smug, and look less jealous when someone else gets a bigger laugh, he should get the boot too.

He championed Imran Yusuf, Seann Walsh, Craig Campbell and Daniel Sloss.
I like MM, I dont like the way Alison Graham in Radio Times acts as if everyone loves MM (even if I like him) Or "less successful comedians" dont like him. Fair do's. They don't like him or find him funny, so what? AG says she doesnt like Milton Jones and his puns "sets her teeth on edge".
Well, I like Milton Jones and his one liners :D Comedy is subjective, deal with it.
MM makes a good point - comedy legenRAB were young once - "they're legenRAB, they were us once" and I agree with him about respect but that doesnt mean they have to find him funny.
:)

Thought the point of a comedian was that are funny. Andi osho, jack whithall and chris Addison are not funny.

Nigerian jokes really? Gina yashere done these jokes years ago

You can't really say that about Series 9 though. After last series they may have found their footing without Frankie. There's only one way to find out for yourself (well, unless you were at the recording).

Hello:)

Milton was funny- I keep expecting him not to be but he keeps surprising me.

He's a proper craftsman- I could imagine Jimmy Car with the same material.

They are interchangeable.

 They might as well have sent you an e-mail saying "F**k off. moaner".

Anyone who successfully translates this into English automatically reaches the shortlist to be the next Controller of BBC1.

If I were you I send back the survey and mark everything as "very poor".

"We apologize for the delay in replying to your e-mail but it took us this long to compose an answer this condescending and meaniless."

It wasn't TV cut short at all; it was an unfortunate lack of a pause within the sentence. This is what I call a funny blooper; unlike your painfully unfunny contrived splices of clips.

Chris Addison looks ill! He could definitely do with a few pies and chips (apols in advance if he has some wasting disorder or something).

God it's so so embarrassingly poor these days, except when they have Milton Jones on. I would hate for him to be a regular though, better for him to do live shows/tours ect then get boxed into a dead end show.

It's suffering from poor guests a lot of the time and some of the residents (Russell Howard) are getting really stale.
Hugh is great, Andy Parsons is very hit and miss. I'd dump Russell and try to get someone else in. Some of the young comedians they have on just are not funny at all. The guy this week made me smile a couple of times but that was it and don't get me started on Jack Whitehall or whatever his name is, genuinely the most unfunny 'comic' since Russell Brand, he is utter shite.

Milton is a very funny guy I think, along with Stew Francis definitely the best guests they have on. I can't remember the name of the coloured woman they sometimes have on - EVERY single 'joke' she tells is about Black people - apalling and totally and utterly unfunny.

Frankie was great because he was funny and controversial, but having said that, anyone who has seen him do the Apollo shows and seen him 'live' or in his DVD knows that his act is the same wherever he goes, very disappointing. Unlike Michael Mcintyre who comes up with a lot of new material.
