Mock The Week - Series 9, BBC2 Thursdays 10pm (Merged)

There's not a single part of that post that's correct.

The clip cuts short what he's saying, so it's not a blooper, and I'm getting plenty of hits from non-haters like yourself so I'm clearly doing something right

It's true. The classic fall back is the Daily Mail joke - funny at first but now too predictable.

I'm not saying they should invite Nick Griffin on, but they need a bit of variety, because the show is dying on its arse.

16 September 2010 Micky Flanagan and Stewart Francis Ed Byrne and Miles Jupp

First of the new era without Russell tonight :D Ok, so it's only for 4 or 5 shows.
Hope that Flannagan and Francis contribute to the show and not just rely on the standup round.

Also a new face with Miles Jupp. I've seen him a few times on the Comedy Store and he's been on The News Quiz. I wonder how much in character (posh snob) he'll be on MtW.

I may be on my own here but I don't find Milton Jones remotely funny. Every time he's on I really try, in case I am missing something but nope, just don't.

I'm disgusted - I love the show and was really looking forward to tonight's show. Big disappointment that they are showing a repeat of a recent episode.

You are thinking of Adam Hills.

Stewart Francis is the Canadian one-liner. Similar to Milton Jones in that she just shoehorns in jokes where appilcable but doesn't really interact with the rest of the panelists/show.

I liked it. It did seem that he purposely adapted it and was good to remember that he'd used the other joke in the past. It would have been pretty bad if he repeated the old joke.

A bit tame. Some have thought of a little topical material but they've forgotten this particular show is called "MOCK the week". I don't care to watch a comedian tell me anyone who isn't politically correct is a "cock". How very daring of you.

Might you be referring to the fact that to him, anyone who doesn't hold his opinions is, I quote, a "nob".

Maybe someone at the BBC has read this thread and realised the bleedin' obvious about him not being a topical comedian.
