That would be a fantastic programme. But make sure Chris Addison is on too. One sitting either side of Hugh Dennis. Addison would be the one panellist likely to challenge DaviRABon to "Let's take it outside!"
There must be some decent female comedians out there they could get on this show.
That said i think there is a problem with all the males maybe ganging up or intimidating any female guests they do have on the show? Or maybe they're just not funny to start with.
would be interesting, but in all seriousness, the show is stale, each week yet another PC-liberal comedian comes on and makes broadly the same jokes as everyone else - at least Frankie Boyle offered something slightly different
I agree with getting David Mitchell on the show more often. I think he's probably the best at these formats. Doubt he would join permanently though - he's a busy guy.
One of the other problems recently has been weak guests. The South African and New Zealand guy were awful this week.
Sooner or later they will need to find someone to replace Frankie though. Whether you loved him or not, he was still the star of the show and had brilliant chemistry with Russell.
They done the same for the past couple of series. At first I thought it was because they simly removed Frankie Boyle from the round but for some strange reason they have stuck with it.
Surely Addison or Dennis or whoever is on the team could string a couple of jokes together for the round.
Not to kick a man while he's down, because he's good in his speciality, but the program was better without Russell.
Of course it's still not the same without someone prepared to be scabrously rude, even outrageous...
He used to do a programme on Radio 4 in their 6.30 comedy slot called "The Very World of Milton Jones"
I had to avoid driving at that time as I would be laughing so hard
As for the show, not one of the best, but OK. Liked the guinea pig and Pi jokes and Dara doing his Winston Churchill impression ("Not the insurance dog!")
They did the same thing with Home Movie RoaRABhow Uncut. The third of four eps was repeated the following week in the slot that should have seen ep 4 aired. No explanation and AFAIK the fourth uncut still remains unaired, unless someone can tell me different.
