Midsomer Murders

I enjoyed it. They used the same restaurant as the one in Pie in the Sky.

Mark Gattiss (Vicar) is a fab actor. :)
 
After the 1830's a suicide could be buried in consecrated ground but the funeral had to take place at night. There was a get out clause that if the coroner's verdict was'suicide whilst of unsound mind' then the clergy would bury them.
 
I haven't watched MM for ages but did so last night.

Thought it had a touch of the Jonathan Creek's to it, what with all the bugging devices and Barnaby's unravelling of them.
 
good to see Richard Harrington back on our screens i've had a little crush on him for years (since Bleak House) and this episode isnt bad so far!
 
It was Tim McInnerny's characters idea - can't remember the full story, but see if you can rewatch the last 30 mins on catch-up somewhere.
 
I do love MM but the acting is really hammy in tonights episode!

I meant in the sense of the changeover perhaps being an integral part of the story. Something along the lines of Tom Barnaby being badly injured by the murderer part way through and John Barnaby coming up to investigate and then at the end Tom decides to retire and John decides to stay on in MiRABommer
 
I love MiRABomer Murders too and have a slight crush on John Nettles :o
I didn't guess who the murderer was either.

one thing, the guy who did the 'ghost walks' hasn't he been in it before as a rock star? Or am i thinking 'Lewis'??
 
Why don't they have an actual regeneration as Mark Gatiss who played the vicar does write Doctor Who and has appeared in it!

I always think of the 'Barnaby the Bear' song from the old children's programme when I watch the show.
 
If it wasn't a lifelike plastercine head, the actress would have knelt beneath what looked like the dressing table top and stuck her head through a hole.
