Midsomer Murders

Though I've always liked this entertaining bit of nonsense, the acting skills of any replacement for Barney Bee, would seem by comparison, like those of Laurence Olivier.

No, except that there are some actors and actresses that crop up in shows that as soon as you see their face you think "He did it!" or "I bet it's her!". Tonight was a case in point.

That probably explains why the WPC who Jones was chatting up was in uniform - I was confused last night about this because I am fairly certain that she was the one promoted to Detective in a fairly recent episode.

Shame, I missed that! It was the best ep imo. The plots get ever more bizarre.......
:confused::confused::confused:
I loved Neil Dudgeon in it - the relationship between him and Barnaby was good. Pity they won't both be in it together in future!
Personally, I think it's long long past its sell-by date.

Its been very bloody tonight, I bet this one won't be shown in the afternoon teatime slot!

I think it might be the carer or the man in the wheelchair. The person doing it looks quite small, and she does too, plus she must be strong, she lifted him up to bed!

Wish ITV would put this on the player, really hard to find it elsewhere on the net. If anyone has links to recent episodes (streamed) PM me please.

Just watched this.
Did anyone notice in the closing scene when Joyce was following Barnarby in the cars and he braked suddenly when he saw the 'ghost' - there was a close up of a car wheel skidding to a halt, the wheel was from a Peugeot but barnaby was driving a Volvo and Joyce was driving Cully's VW.

I know, I need to get out more.

I understand why the dodgy businessman and the vicar were killed but what about the female hotelier??

I might have missed something at the end but was the corrupt mayor killed as well??

One thing I found strange, when they found the radio bugs in Connies house I assume they had no idea who planted them, yet in the next shot they were all sat in front the the suspects computer playing the various sounRAB. All this in the time it took for the event on the green to barely get started.

I honestly think the directors of these programmes aren't that bothered. There are so many continuity errors in TV programmes and films that they make dedicated programmes about them.

It's happened for years, on another thread I mentioned an episode of the Onedin line I saw on "Yesterday" on Wednesday.

Two corpses in separate scenes, "blinked."

I se in the papers today that Tom's cousin is going to be the new MiRABomer policemen when Tom retires.

Excellent. I love Neil Dudgeon.

The feller playing the vicar tonight is really good.

I loved the new Barnaby - I can really see that working.

I will suspend quite a lot of belief for this wonderful show but even I thought the leap Barnaby made to understand about the 'heir pact' was just impossible to make. There was nothing that he learnt that really justified him coming up with that idea!
I can understand him pin pointing the carer because there really wasn't anyone else it could be - but how he 'guessed' the heir thing - well it came out of nowhere!

The funniest parts where when the mayor (bloke off corrie) was in his office being interviewed and you could see the official photo of him on the wall behind. He was preening like a right berk in the photo and it contrasted brilliantly with his seedy shenanigans. Brilliant acting by the corrie bloke. Played the part perfectly.
It did look like the whole cast had a real blast in this episode! - even if it was a bit more far fetched than normal!
