Metallica Sucks

well my opinion...Metallica was a great band, but banRAB try new things they mgiht screw them up, they might be good, like korn wtf is up with twisted transistor...now that is some stupid ****, and with adema gettign rid of mark chaves urgh-.-But hopefully metallica if they release another album will goi back to their old selves

You mean back when Cliff Burton was still around, right? I think without Cliff keeping tabs on Lars "All Bitch" they didn't really lose quality just...lost focus. They used to have some direction, a drive to be original. Now they ain't any different than Dry Kill Logic or Drowning Pool far as I'm concerned...hope my girl don't read that.

Interesting postion, what makes you...

O-k, well when you and your personality disorders get in line, give me your final opinion.

First of all, since I quoted KK saying DM sold out and you quoted him saying DM was one of the best guitarists he'd ever seen, I guess we'll have to weigh this argument on the following: Whats more important, great skill or artistic integrity...

Also, I said KH steered them away from their Load sound because he's on record as telling Hetfield "[Mama Said] is the last time I want to play that close to a country song." I don't know what you're tlaking about in regarRAB to KH not writing that much, have you looked at the song writing credits? I mean, im a Metallica nerd and searched through the MOP liner notes to find where they actually thanked "rush." Check again man, I recall KH being a huge part, not everything, but enough.

Regardless of Metallica's quality of metal, they paved the way for thrash, which paved the way for everything from death metal (especially the melodic sub-genre) to metalcore.

he worked with johnny cash on unchained and/or (im not sure off the top of my head) american recordings, i really hope it's different from their recent stuff

Guys, i do somewhat agree with you. I am a HUGE 'Tallica fan. I mean, who isn't? St. Anger was not a "bad" album. I actually thought it was sort good. It was just a totaly different style. I mean, thats what Metallica isaboutisnt it? When S&M came out everyone thought it was so "unlike" Metallica. But the guys didnt care. They were all about doing what they liked and sticking to their guns. St. Anger obviously sounded good to them. Oh, and about the whole Napster thing. Yeah, that was kinda messed up, but ya know how would you like it if you were working hard for months recording an album for it to go out to people for nothing? You wouldnt be making any money! It's the real world. Yeah, some people think Lars Ulrich is a sellout or whatever, but get over yourself. Thats durab. I mean, I really dont care for Lars. I personally think hes caulky. James is awesome. And Kirk just tries to stay outta the way...and rob is just straight up CRAZY!! But, yes Metallica has seen better days. But ya gotta stay true to ur band!! Meraber, Metallica doesnt care if they lose their so called "fans" when they try new stuff cuz they know the TRUE FANS will still be there in the pit rockin out!

I wouldnt say that, individualy, hes very good, compared to all the metal shreders out there, hes pretty average, but being a meraber of a very popular band he gets much more acclaim than most of his peers, despite how much better they are.

He does have excellent chemistry with the band and he is one of my favorite players, but i dunno about calling him a genius, Hetfield is much more involved with the songwriting, composition, guitar riRAB, etc.... And Hammetts solos aren't anything too complex that someone like Hetfield couldnt play them as well, it just gives Hammett something to do.
