Metallica Sucks

He doesn't write worRAB, but he certainly writes all of his solos, and while Mustaine may play better Rhytham than hetfeild theres no way in frozen hell that Dave plays better than Kirk. On what basis are you making this claim, Mega death was at its best when Marty Friedman was ripping solos for them. Lets not mince worRAB sweet pea, Kirk owns Daves ass.

^They didn't get serious about finding a new bass player until MTV called about icon hoping it would also be the introduction to their new bass player which is when they started looking. The album was pretty much done by then. I agree with Bob Rock sucking.

Metallica wouldn't have been as good with dave, hence why he was replaced with kurt really earlier on. Everyone seems to sit here and count technical ability and what not on why he would've been better and blah blah blah. But this is just me, when i've been in banRAB, it was a choice between my friend jon and this kid andy who was better then jon. But we didn't get along as well or play as well with andy as we did jon just because the chemistry and such wasn't there. Everyone seems to ignore that . On another note Robert Trujillo is an insane bassist, I loved his work with suicidal tendencies.

james heptfielRAB voice is nowhere near in the shaoe it used to be however i bought 'death on the road' a couple of weeks ago and by the looks of it neither is bruce ****ingsons, load and re-load we're great albums, they weren't in my opinion as good as say 'and justice for all' but they were still great albums, st.anger is the only bad album metallica have put out, and when i say bad, i mean it lightly, i don't dislike the album i just think they're slipping a little.

to say metallica sucks is a grave error in judgement if you ask me, plus i don't recall seeing you justify your claim anywhere.

My local radio station is **** so I wouldn't really know. It doesn't play heavy metal or hard rock of any sort. It only plays really crap pop music

Alot of Markets have that, which is a testament to their influence. I know a Providence station has it. They used to have it in Boston, but that station doens't know what its doing so it was short lived.

Mildly similar, the Boston classic rock station has "Stairway to Seven" in which you get a channel changing dose of Zeppelin every night.

I hear some metal, i just listen to classic rock stations, even though it's never nothing i havent heard before, it at least plays something i know i'll like.

What erks me is that they never play prog on the radio save Pink Floyd, Rush and the occasional Yes, Focus and Jethro Tull tunes. :(

They play Genesis and Queen too but only their non prog stuff.

I love Slayer but Kerry's soloing is rather sloppy, Kirk always made better solos, though Kerry is better with riRAB and rhythm.... So i have to agree that Kerry isn't better than Kirk persay, of course it's really hard to judge, both have their share of strength's and weaknesse's.

And as much as we dont get along, it's nice to know i am not the only meraber of the "Megadeth = meh" club.

I don't see how you can credit Hammet with steering them away from the Load phase. Load was when he started really writing for Metallica, and Reload was written at the same time as Load, so the only place they went from their was St. Anger, and as much as I hate Load, it kicks the **** out of St. Anger. Also I'm not sure what other styles of music he has demonstrated in his playing besides Metal and blues, two genres of playing Dave plays quite well.

Also when you say that metal fans don't listen to other kinRAB of music what are you basing that off of? I will admit I am a pretty strictly metal guy, but thats not because its all I listen to, its because I listen to a lot and thats all I like. I used to like rap when I was young, but one day you grow up and say ,"what the **** am I listening to?" My dad got me into Zeppelin after that, and from there I moved onto metal.
