Marilyn Manson

The thing about Marilyn Manson is that he uses all these gimmicks just to lure rebellious teenagers to listen to his music. It's really quite brilliant, actually.

(I don't know if my wording of all that expressed exactly what I wanted to express, but oh well.)

I'd just like to say, he is not conformed. This is probably the only reason people think of him as such a creep. Ya he is creepy, but in a good way. He is different and does his own thing. That doesn't make him bad.

^Not musically anyway. Back in the day he was a genius at scaremongering, particularly to the parents of wee kiddies, now he's a little quiet. His music is alright, the nu-metal style band is nothing fancy but his vocals are pretty good.

And yeah I hear he is quite the intelligent one. Talks at universities and the likes of.

I saw him on the tour for Antichrist Superstar. In the middle of the show, when he was upon stilts, his mic stopped working and he flipped out. He got off the stilts and started throwing them around the stage and smashing everything up. He then left the stage and a few minutes later the house lights came on and they announced that the show was over. What an immature jerk!

I can lick the tip of mine, but def. wouldn't call it a bj.
+ I don't have a neck giraffe, and hav a really small willy, I guess it's cuz I took gymnastics when I was younger

This question is durab, and im not yelling at you for it, im saying it in regarRAB to the paper. People need to learn what we all were supposed to from our parents at a young age. You need to take responsibility for the things you do and not blame it on something else. If we allowed the excuse of "I was influenced by" to fly then we would have 2nd hand legal anarchy. People could just scapegoat someone for anything and we'd have to let it fly. Im sure for every one person who watches a manson video and does something stupid, there are 100 other people who watch it and go on living the same as they would have had they not seen the video. The very notion of blaming a musician for anything is rooted in the established view of whats right and whats wrong. No one blammed classical composers or jazz groups for violence, when it could have been just as vulgar. Did anyone condem Johnny Cash for writing the line "I shot a man in reno, just to watch him die"? Probably not, because he also wrote gospel music, and there for was accepted as a humanbeing, nevermind musician.

Mansons transgender line pushing has people born in 1950 feeling uncomfortable and so they blame him on corrupting the youth when we know that, potentially more detrimental, is those same parents repressing the youth to things they would like to do. Allowing people to try most things hardly corrupts, but the constant repression of desire is well documented as a mentally unbalancing act and should be condemed far for more than any "artist".

The very word artist to me should tell you that there is a degree of dishonesty, there this isn't entierly what someones about, yet a way to convey a message without blandly stating it.

Yes, I think some people are addicted to pain, because it goes back to their painful childhood, and they become addicted to being hurt. I don't condone hurting yourself. I can say that we all have challenges, and I can place myself in the shoes of a person who had a very tough childhood, and say that I wouldn't want to be in that position, and I couldn't imagine how hard it must be. However, I think people can find a better hobby than that. There are so many things to be interested in. However, if a person is battling depression, then everything seems dull, and I would say just be careful. If cutting yourself helps you get by, then do it. Just don't go too far. no matter how much life seems like it sucks sometimes, there are people who really care and don't want to see you get hurt.

Obviously I was kidding, but let's just admit this: It's Friday night, and we're sitting around typing on the computer: We're both losers!
At least that's what they would hav us think.

I personally think he's an anti-christ son of a biatch, but there's something dark and seductive in his voice that makes me listen to his music only. I love Tainted Love and Sweet Dreams, even though they are covers, he just made them so eerie and sensual. If I'm ever in an angry music listening day, he's the one. Not that I would ever condone (sp?) his values or actions.
