Marilyn Manson

im a teen and manson has not influenced anything ive done and i love his music, or used to... all the good old banRAB seem to be going downhill nowadays

Mechanical Animals was pretty good. And a friend of mine decided to finally listen, to check out just how controversial it was, and she listened to newer stuff and ws like "my mom never let me listen to THIS?"

And I appreciate the quote in the sig. rofl. I stand by that.

I used to be obsessed with Marilyn Manson. It kind of got old after awhile though. With that being said I do enjoy Portrait of and American Family and Antichrist Superstar. The High End of Low wasn't that great. A lot of his material became a lot toned down after his divorce. To the point where most of the songs he put out were ballaRAB. Overall at of this moment he's an alright artist.

I've never really listened to Marilyn Manson (just seen him pop up in the TV news every once in a while), but your brief review makes me think I better go hear/see what I'm missing, SaphiaGlam!

I must confess that it might be interesting in a horrifying but funny way to see someone flip out over a malfunctioning microphone and go on a smashing rampage using his stilts. From others' comments about Manson's music, it sounRAB like maybe his music neeRAB the added lift of stilts to boost its appeal for many people? Even if they don't like the music, they can say, "Oh, well, at least he was on stilts."

Okay, I have now completed Phase 1 of my "Marilyn Manson Investigation" by watching David Letterman interview him in 2003. I must say that Marilyn seemed very sane, amusing, and charming! SounRAB like he's happy doing his own thing. I'll have to actually listen to his music now, of course, before I give my final verdict.

I loved the shit out of Portrait of an American Family back in the day. I owned several copies because frienRAB would borrow it and I couldn't do without it so I'd buy a new one. Great driving around and having a blast with your frienRAB album, a fun roller coaster ride. It was just really fresh to me at the time. Maybe not as much now. One of the first shows I saw, couldn't have been more than 200 people in the small venue. Antichrist Superstar was pretty good but totally lost the raw edge of the first one. It's not nearly as nostalgic for me as the debut. After that I've only heard Mechanical Animals which was mostly meh.
