Mamma Mia!

I still can't bring myself to go and see this, (and I'm an ABBA fan) but the more I hear about it, and what happens at the cinema, I'm glad I haven't...

It should be called Chavva Mia..... :p

Am I the only one who wishes it wasn't out on DVD? :(
I feel the magic has kinda gone now. That whole feeling of "OOh.. I wonder how it'll have performed at the Box Office" will disapparate in the coming weeks and the excitement this film has generated inside of me will soon only be a memory.

I don't like the people are able to watch the film now in the comfort of their own homes. :(

THE FILM DIDN'T GET TO NUMBER ONE!
*screams and runs away*
:(

I hope you're joking. Anyone who goes to see a movie in the cinema 50 times has serious mental issues and should seek professional help.

That's 123 hours of their life wasted, almost an entire week spent on one terrible movie.

I'd suggest anyone who is happy to waste almost a week of their life and around

Yes i've been singing abba songs for the past week!!:D:D
I'm not even that big an ABBA fan...i'm trying to subtly convince my mum that she wants to take me to see this!! I only want to see it for Dominic really....at least i'm being honest!!:eek::D

odd as the film enters it final phase in the cinemas where i live they are putting extra times on the next week up to thursday the 20th nov thats unusual only 4 days before the dvd release!! makes you think they may keep the film on release after the dvd date ! my local cinema only had it on afternoons last 2 weeks... next week its on 3 times a day including an evening showing!!

Saw it this afternoon - thought it was really good - hadn't been expecting it to be so entertaining.
Really funny as well - Colin Firth was pretty funny in it as well, which is kind of unusual.

Sophie's voice (can't remember the actress' name) was really good as well, and that stood out.

Hello fellow Mamma Mia! fans... I thought I'd join your thread.

This is now my favourite movie ever... rudely usurped the film that has been my favourite since the eighties...

Have seen it five times so far, including one time attending the sing-a-long :D

Forget any other methoRAB to find peace, joy and tranqulity, Mamma Mia! is the key to increasing seretonin levels! :D

I saw it today and loved it :D. I laughed so much especially at Julie Walters' character, she was so funny. I loved the Dancing Queen sequence the best.

I can't wait for it (on a Hairspray related note, I don't think it will do aswell as Hairspray or be as good (Hairspray is my favourite film of all time...so it has a challenge on its hand :p))

I've seen it twice already, bought my mother the soundtrack and I know one of the girls in it :)

I will be going to see it many more times I reckon.

Yeah, I agree with that. The demographics are totally different. But Mamma Mia! will have lost a lot of the "family"-viewing chunk and a lot of the teenage-viewing chunk of the demographic.

I hope Universal delay the DVD.. :D

I don't understand people buying the soundtrack to be honest. If I want to listen to Abba tracks I'd rather listen to Abba singing them

tut tut tut...there is no need for this sillyness.
I have only seen the trailer etc for mamma mia and at first listen Meryl streep doesn't sound that brilliant.

BUT....please don't strike me off your christmas list as well....i've listened to the soundtrack quite a few times and she's grown on me! Winner Takes it All is quite fabulous:cool:
