Mamma Mia!

Thanks for that! I don't know why but I thought that Headbanger might have done that bit with a woman but they flipped it for a bloke.
Very funny when it happened though. Although I was the only one that laughed out loud... :o

I guess it would be better to see that happen on stage, it just came off very odd that she was "doing something downstairs".

Went to see it a couple of weeks ago and thought it was very good, I just hope the DVD comes out in time for Christmas because that'll mean my Mum's present is sorted out!!

Dunno whether it's "Cool" to like ABBA at my age (22) but I don't care! I think they wrote some brilliant music and they are one of my favourite groups.

Didn't enjoy this movie at all.. I think that's partly because I was judging it against the live musical. The cringeworthy vocal stylings of Pierce Brosnan didn't help the matter either..

Just seen Mamma Mia and thought it was fab. As did everyone else in the cinema judging by the clapping & cheering at the end. And the smiles on people's faces throughout!
It's received some acid reviews, very unfair in my opinion.
Meryl Streep was brilliant, as usual, and the the male leaRAB we're good enough to make you forgive their mediocre singing. It just didn't matter!
One review I read singled out the young actress who played Sophie as being weak.
I just didn't see this. She was lovely, fresh and just right for the part.
It was also so beautifully shot I just wanted to leave the cinema and jump on a plane to the Greek IslanRAB!

You can't polish turd. But on the other hand, it appears that you can stick an kitsch ABBA sticker on it and sell it to millions of fools who can't wait to be parted from their money.

I admire them for that, even if the film is substandard pish.
