Mad Men.

I thought it was quite well done ~ sexual inappropriateness is common in persons with Alzheimers / dementia. I knew someone who worked in a care home & some of the things she told me were a bit :eek: Some of those little old ladies were far from 'sweet' ;)

So it's probable he didn't treat his wife like that when she was alive, it's just that that acceptable boundaries & levels of appropriateness dissolve with dementia.

Then again the acceptable levels of appropriateness at SC seem fairly fluid at the best of times... ;)

I giggled at he picnic scene too.

It's still the early 60ies so there was still a naiveity about sexuality.Oh and didn't they both come from a small town?

In other news. What's with Joan's bosom? Looked more pneumatic than usual.

Just been watching S4 Ep1, some really nice touches in there (as we expect with Mad Men) Especially liked the name drop when the taxi pulled up at the girls appt after the blind date, what with her working in the Theatre an all. :D :D

In one of the last 3 episodes of series 1 shown last Sunday evening, Don and Rachel were in bed at least once .......with no clothes on.....!

Maybe they were only going over creative ideas?

I'd better start the list again!

Just thought I'd chime in with praise for this show - truly great drama that builRAB from a slow start - very glad to hear a second series in the offing.

That Amazon video shocked me as it was hard to see these actors in their normal personas - they do such an amazing job in the series that it's difficult not to believe they *are* those characters!

I thought Peggy would reveal being pregnant to Don and he would use that to *blackmail* Pete into not revealing his secret to Cooper - I suppose an oRABhoot of that scenario is still possible, but I was happy that I guessed what would happen and was completely wrong!! Cooper just said "Who cares???" lol....

And Joan may have replaced Sara from "Prison Break" as my biggest TV crush ;-)

Hmm, interesting, I never thought of Don as fastidious. Certainly, he's smartly dressed all the time - as is pretty much everyone except for rumpled Freddy - but fastidious is someone who is sure to put a coaster under his drink before he sets it down on a table. Betty is fastidious but I don't think of Don that way so I don't consider drinking milk out of the bottle as out of character.

Absolutely! sometimes I'm not sure even the characters know what they mean.

And I was wrong about the Trimphone! it looked like one but the receiver concealed a dial.

So much happening in this episode, after some earlier ones in which there was - apparently - less action. And ewww ... was Paul Kinsey really doing what I thought he was doing with the photo of the girls, and a hanky, when he unbuckled his trousers?!

First look at the poster for Season 4 of Mad Men

http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2010/06/21/first-look-mad-men-season-4-poster/

I like it. Suit, cigarette, telephone.

I think people who are at risk of having a stroke often experience problems with their sense of taste/smell.

I really enjoyed this episode .... poor Sally, that little actress just breaks my heart - I was willing Don to go over and give her a hug when she was upset at the end, but he never .

Also loved the 'lightbulb' moment of Sal's wife, lol.

Don puking up in the lavatory after a ride in the elevator.

At least Roger had the excuse of having to run up God knows how many flights of stairs before he barfed all over the shop.:D

We love the show too and have never known 45 minutes pass so quickly. However, I am starting to worry about the opening credits which shows a person falling from a window. Does this look like Don Draper to anyone else? And he did say to Roger that if he left the company it would be in a different manner - not going to another job.

I watched it a US pace - can't help it I'm very impatient when it comes to that sort of thing

He has never approached Don's status since series 1. His life and career are moving backwarRAB relative to the rise of some of his peers, he seems bound to unravel at some point.

The newly-signed-up career soldier "I go in as a Captain" seems equally bound for tragedy. Killed in a drink-drive incident before leaving for the front or similar?
