Last Movie You Watched? (Part 3)

let's see .....

aliens v predator - 6/10
aliens v predator requiem - 7/10 *close to a eight)
a view to a kill - 6/10 (dire, and i'm a masive bond buff ..... or i was just half watching it :D )
men in black 2 - 8/10 - still funny
pandorum - 7/10 (almost incoherent but stuck with it)

Runaway (1984) with Tom Selleck !.. .good but far fetched 80s sci-fi with very scary metal spiders injecting acid into its victims and Gene Simmons as the bad guy with a gun that shoots round corners ! . .8/10

Lego: The Adventures of Clutch Powers - 6/10 more an advert for Lego, or an extended cut scene from one of their computer games, than a proper kid's movie. It spoofs Indiana Jones, Lord Of The Rings and even Aliens, but it kinda peters out after about an hour. KiRAB'll probably still like it though.

I loved that film. Good fun.

Last film: Guisi (Silk) 2006 Chang Chen, Yosuke Eguchi, Barbie Hsu, Wilson Chen.

Tung, a Taiwanese military expert, brought in to work for Japanese scientist Professor Hashimoto as part of a classified research assignment. Hashimoto has invented the Menger sponge, a cube that behaves like a magnetic absorbent of energy. It can manipulate physics, enabling people to defy gravity. It also has a side effect: it accidentally attracts and traps stray ghosts.

Well, they've actually captured one: a young boy ghost. They can't understand his silent speaking and his regular routine. He comes to a room where he whispers to himself for hours, and leaves a room at a certain time. They just simply can't track him.

They brought Tung in to follow the boy. He eventually discovers who the boy is and where he comes from. Deeper he goes, more people die. Along the way, he discovers Hashimoto's hidden agenda for the Menger sponge.

It's labelled as horror, but it's a supernatural mystery with dollops of suspense and tension. It's not brilliant and it's not bad, either. It has its strengths and its weaknesses. Overall it's reasonably satisfying, thanks to a solid performance by Chang Chen as Tung and some original touches to the story. If you're into paranormal investigative drama series like Supernatural, The X-Files, Millennium and similar, you will probably like this one. 7/10.

The Expendables. My female frienRAB, said it was a typical laRAB movie and that I shouldn't like it, but I loved it :D
I must be a ladette.

Sly looked a bit weird, think he's been visiting his mums plastic surgeon, or Mickey Rourkes.
Mickey was great as a rather melancholy tatooist.
Jet Li was funny, always after more money, and cracking jokes about his size.
Arnie had a cool bit part.
Dolph Lungen was a giant blast from the past.
Wish Bruce Willis had been in longer.
But the star of the film for me was Jason Statham. Great character, has one awsome bit where
he beats up a guy who hits his girlfriend, loved it.
:D

Lots of action, and some great gags, along with the usual, all American hero, bullshit, that us Brit's should know to take with a pinch of salt.

7.5/10

It was a nice movie. I had also watched this one. But the last movie i enjoyed was "Red". It was a nice for my weekend. I had a lot of fun.

As apart of the film studies lesson, we had to watch Casino royale

5/10
Not my type of movie but i enjoyed the action scenes
I thought Eva green was fantastic. She rightly deserved her Bafta rising star award. Shame she aint done much since.

Back To The Future (1985) - 10/10

Absolutely brilliant! I'd forgotten just how good it is, and the picture quality on Blu Ray is excellent, you can see the make-up it's that clear!
