After 14 hours my 2200 is at 15 percent, and ive probably done a true hour of internet, plus texting, the market, and phone calls, so all in all i think it was a good purchase, and i'm glad you are getting good results also!

woah woah woah, 57 percent. haha.

the batrtery is currently on charge in my cradle. which i must say, it fits in the cradle perfectly compared to the cheap battery i got from fommy. the fommy battery had to be forced in the cradle, peeling off part of the batteries protective cover in the process. my cradle led went from orange to green within an hour, meaning full charge. but i'm still going to charge it for 3-4 hours. i'll stress test the battery tomorrow while i'm at work. i'll leave gps enabled along with cell towers. i'll also stream from stream furious from approximately 9-12. on my break i'll surf the web and check out a few youtube videos. i'll also leave yahoo im running all day. screen brightness will be set at max and i'll enable the wireless setting. i don't get much mail in my gmail account, so i'll leave that unchecked for syncing. no 3g where i'm at, so not a real world test for me to leave it enabled. i'll put the battery in when i wake up at 7am and start testing from there. i get home from work around 5pm eastern time, and i'll check the battery status throughout the day. hopefully this will at least get me through a workday. normally i wouldn't have my gps running for 8 hours, but i'm only trying to see if this battery will perform in the event of a road trip.

Watt charts battery state over time. Unfortunately, it does not chart it against CPU usage. So there's no way we can figure out whether a loss was due to excess use or just standard standby cost.

I noticed that compared to my stock battery, when i don't use the phone, the battery level (percentage wise) does not go down, like it did with the standard battery.

i don't think 1/8 bigger than an original cell makes it a brick, but to each his own. i'm all about horsepower, not impressing people. but to each his own. it actually feels good in the hand. doesn't feel awkward at all. then again, i'm used to the thickness of the 8525.

funy. you have plans made out for all day. if i had the bat i wouldnt expect it to last with that much usage til noon.

hope you get the reults your looking for.

That's great news. However, before we all get too excited over this, remember that the G1 needs to calibrate itself to the new capacity. That process takes time. Remember how some people claimed to have 100% battery life after 4 or 5 hours when RC28 came out? The phone might not know how to measure the capacity of the new battery yet. I think the best way to measure it is still the total amount of time between coming off the charger and when the phone shuts itself off due to low battery, at least for now.

Please tell me you're kidding. How does adding an extra 20g of plastic and another 100g battery constitute a much heavier phone? The G1 is light for its size. The BB Curve left a deeper lump in my pocket because it was so dense. I think the iPhone is the same way--smaller form factor, more concentrated mass.

I doubt his phone is all that much heavier. When I'm talking on the G1 with original cover/battery, it feels dinky in my fingers! It's only when you put it next to other non-smartphones that you realize how huge the screen is and how much it weighs.

thanks for the pics and review, mine too should be coming soon in the mail

thunder, have you tried to fit it in a sidekick3 case or the standard g1 case to see how it fits?

not that it really matters, but just out of curiousity

This phone is very lite indeed, even more so then the "Wing" I once owned...

Even with the "Body Glove" case I use on the G1

*Edit: People with small hands may have an issue with the added thickness
