Inbetweeners Series 3 Discussion

He wouldn't even really need to be at the uni though would he? He could just be living with them or something.

Maybe the rumoured one off special that's supposed to take place after the movie will focus on Freshers week. I can just see Jay's reaction to the abundance of "fresher clunge", lol.

Considering it's such a ratings winner for E4, i can't see them letting it die now, not when it's just become "massive" for them. I don't want them to run it into the ground, but i don't think it's near that stage yet anyway.

A good comeback episode last night. Loved the scene with Simon walking around tethered by Carly and his testicle dropping out of the speedo ;) Will making a scene with Charlotte on the catwalk and Jay being found out of being a liar about the curtains in the changing rooms. The transplant guy was annoying, and I was glad Will gave him a come-uppance ;)

We all know Simon will never, never, never get Carly. He might as well find another girl.

I thought lasy nights episode was crammed back full of great moments. Whether it was Jay and his gay stud earring then replacing them with Pirates of the Carribean earrings. The obnoxious disabled guy war of worRAB with Will, Neil being catnip for paedos, Will's 70's disco dancing or Simons ballsack incident.

Jay was too much of a dick this series. The scene where they were burning Will's stuff and not registering at all that they were being out of order began to push it a bit too far for me, and Jay convincing Neil to just let Simon's car roll into the lake was the final straw. The Inbetweeners' biggest strength has always been the fact that people recognise their younger selves in the characters, and that was just way too unrealistic. Anyone would have hit him in real life.

Someone earlier suggested that Neil should make it big while Will enRAB up in a dead end job, but I think that would be a shame. The reason that the show resonates so well is that most people see either Will or Simon in themselves (how many people watch it and say "Oh yeah, I was Neil at school?). The reason that the show wouldn't work at university, for instance, is that people who were like Will or Simon at school tend to mature by then.

There was a line of dialogue when Mr Gilbert led Mr Kennedy away from Neil that went "Common John let's go get you some fresh air...I'm putting my f...ing career on the line for you John".

This would seem to imply that nothing official has ever been undertaken.

i'm not finding this series very funny, each episode seems to be decliniing steadily.Tonight's episode is the worst yet...in the first two series i laughed all the way through every episode, i've only managed a couple of giggles tonight.
