Inbetweeners Series 3 Discussion

I can't understand the problems people seem to have with the squirrel scene. It was entirely consistent with Jay's past behaviour, where he is terrified of losing face, and then once he had done it, realising that it wasn't big or clever and actually made him feel sad.

I hate the glib use of media studies type cliches, but I do think this series 'jumped the shark'. Just too slapstick and stupid a lot of the time.

I think they also underestimated what the older characters bring to the programme and should have used them more.

This is such a dumb post sorry... if people liked this episode they would say so, many people didnt and are saying so - thats not negativity its just saying whether they liked last nights show or not. Im a huge fan and have watched all the shows several times but last nights didnt make me laugh once.

Watched the Episode from series 1 last night, where Emily Atack was showing interest in him at a party.

It seemed better written two years ago, as to how someone like Will could ever pull someone that looked liked Charlotte.

Apart from the first episode of series 3, the rest have been a major dissapointment compared to the past series.

The smut level has upped to the max in series 3, that doesnt bother me, but they need good scripts to go with it, they have not had that this year

Pretty good ending I thought.

The vomiting scene did remind me of Guest House Paradiso, but I thought it was hilarious. Glad we got Simon's Dad and Gilbert in the final episode to, as they've both been rather underused in this series sadly.

I've had that problem too. Sometimes I come on for a couple of minutes between lectures and then I find nearly the whole hour has gone and I have to go!

The enjoyment on his face when he told Will he was still going to have to collect the money was good as well

"Unfortunately this isn't the First World War so you can't conscientially object!!" :D

I didn't think it was as good as last week's episode but still loved it. One thing I don't get though is that they could easily do a 4th series if they split the upper 6th into 2 series as they did with the lower 6th. If I remember rightly the 1st series ended at the end of the 1st term at Christmas, the 2nd ended in the Summer of year 12. Would have been easy enough to do that for year 13 with series 3&4.

The episode was just strange. It turns out Simon now plays golf and Jay has a dog, but the introduction of these two themes seemed a waste of time as the pay oRAB weren't particularly good.

Instead of lots of different gags and one liners we just got jokes about Jay attempting to have a w**k and Will's mum, over and over again.

There has also been no previous suggestion that the boys are one step away from an ASBO vandalising their neighbourhood so this seemed odd.

This episode was probably the last one the writers wrote as they will already have a clear idea of what the last episode should be about.
