I would like to get other peoples opinion on the new 2011 Kawasaki ninja 250r?

Hi i want to buy the new 2011 Kawasaki ninja 250r but i wanted to get other peoples opinion on it before i bought it. i like it because its cheep ($4,000) good on gas looks cool to me and because its sort of fast. what do y'all think or what other bikes do y'all recommend,.

It's a very good bike for what it is. It's not a 'real' sportbike, like a GSX-R, it's a 'standard' with sporty styling (though it's sporty enough to have fun). It's light and easy to handle. It's very reliable and should last a long time. It's a good bike to learn to ride on. It gets better mileage than a bigger bike. And, as you say, it's really pretty.

The drawback to a 250 is that you can't really cruise at highway speed. The Kawi 250 will probably do 80 mph, but it's not made to go that fast for long distances. It's not comfortable, or safe. It doesn't mean you can't go far, only you have to stick to secondary roads. But if you plan to commute to work or school over 10 miles of Interstate, this is not a good bike for that.

Personally I'd go for the new honda cbr250 OR get yourself a nice second hand 400cc pocket rocket like the honda cbr/vfr/rvf 400

If you are buying it to learn on, why not buy an older one for less and save the money for a bigger bike in a year's time.
