I Demand My Money Back!! The Worst Films You've Ever Had To Sit Through

I'm glad someone else has actually heard of it to be honest. I remember when 'Rat Race' came out and reading about the plot just thinking, "hang on, this was done before."Nobody else remembered... I think they must have blocked 'It's a mad, mad, mad, mad, world' out of their minRAB.

I do remember the film being quite long and as you say, it would drive a class to distraction! I think they say the average attention span for a class of schoolkiRAB is 5 minutes before they all start talking and throwing paper aeroplanes!

To Thinman - I would say, perhaps I should give the film another chance, now that I'm out of the sulky teenager phase. I did however like a lot of older films at that age, so it wasn't a case of me being of the "oh I hate old films, they're so naff" minRABet - the kind that prevails throughout my younger family members! At the time however, I just couldn't really empathise with any of the characters and didn't find any of the gags remotely amusing... Perhaps it was a case of 'good for its time,' as were the cast. The length definitely had a lot to do with it, but I do remember our teacher being really irritated because quite a few of the more vocal members of the class yelled out, "oh this is rubbish, sir, can we watch neighbours instead?"

Oh well...

Another vote for A.I. from me.....made worse because I was feeling particularly naughty that day and after watching Amelie (a great film), I suggested to the wife that we sneak in and watch A.I. without paying. She made us pay.

Worst. Mistake. Ever.

I'll agree that a lot of films on here that have been named are shocking, and I would definetly want my money back.

But some (IMO) are really good films

  • The Truman Show
  • A.I: Artificial Intelligence
  • The Count Of Monte Cristo
  • Vanilla Sky
  • American Psycho

and more........some I actually own, LOL

Films like annoy the shit out of me!
Scary Movie 2
Scary Movie 3
Scary Movie 4
Date Movie (I laughed once at the nail gun gag at the beginning)
Epic Movie
Meet The Spartans

What happened to good spoof movies like the Naked Gun Trilogy, Hot Shots and Part Deux, Airplane 1 and 2. It hasn't come out yet, but we know this movie: http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt1213644/ is gonna be.......well a total heap of shit!

probably one of the worst films I have seen is The Golden Compass, it put me off read the book for nearly half a year, and after reading the book, which I loved, I hated it even more, seen as though the missed the entire ending out from the first book.

Maybe i missed the point of this thread but the last time i checked, is this thread not about talking about the films you don't like?

And am i not allowed to dislike films? surely when you watch a film you go into it not knowing if its going to be good or not, i enjoy many films and there's some i don't enjoy.

I think Dances With Wolves is a dull film that didn't deserve the accolades it was showered with, it just so happened to tick a few of the favourable boxes the Academy likes a film to.

See, I liked the first Pirates movie, but the second one completely turned me off the series. I haven't even bothered watching the third one. My brother tells me it's better than the second one.

So, no exploding cars, or henchman machine-gun battles in Zodiac - so what? That doesn't make it a poor film, in my opinion.

As for Vanilla Sky, it's a very good film, but only if you like Penelope Cruz. She forces all the emotion in the film. Have you ever seen Abre Los Ojos?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0125659/

It's Vanilla Sky. It's called Open Your Eyes.

Those mentioned by Revelian are clearly quite recent spoof films...

So to compare his comparisons with yours is simply stupid.

Ridiculous list.
