he not think, it's sure, because he reselle unlocking code so have many information about this probleme with customer,

i cannot test because i don't have this phone now but i don't think whit a simply software update problem is solved there is something others to discover under this branded Android.
 
This is all very well but WHERE do I get the actual CODE from

Useless without a full guide as I people are saying do not purchase codes from online others say get it from operators etc etc. I have upgraded to that newer firmware from htc now when i put in o2 sim it wants unlock code. Just want simple answer where from lol..
 
Hi to all i face this problem whit an Htc Tattoo unlocking whit code i enter and show ok but continue to says unlocking sim card and nothing can't enter in network and if i turn off and on ask again code, the phone is Htc Tattoo branded Orange, if exist any procedure to change rom please write here as i don't know much this Android Os.

How to solve.

Download rom upgrade for your phone.

Rom can be downloaded from official website of HTC.com/uk/

Or from below link.

Now Run Rom upgrade utility, and wait till setup finished.

If the provider is changing the original factory unlock code,like Romanian Operators is doing,You won't be able to unlock it with any rom and spl that exist in the world.
A few months ago I had an htc hero locked on Orange Romania,I bought the unlock code by allgsm but the code wasn't the original one.
At that time all the people told me to downgrade,upgrade,write this rom etc but the problem couldn't be solved.
A few days ago the same phone I unlocked it by jtag method.
I don't know sure what's the policy with other network operators but in Romania is like I said and it can be proved

its not possible. they made security, now they are breaking their security by update of rom ?
